I've only just caught up with this. I'd say I'm a peripheral Star Wars fan at best, but this is everything I've ever wanted from the franchise. Three episodes in, a slow burn, but so worth it.
Don’t judge a series on a single episode.Watched the first episode and couldn't face the other two. It was pretty much as I'd expected it to be, sadly.
I think people are just used to instant gratification these days in their entertainment.
Or that not every installment is for everybody. It's ok to not like a show.I'm coming to the conclusion that after four and a half decades I might have gone off Star Wars. Or maybe it's just not very good any more.
I have a pretty long attention span. I'm a tortoise, not a hare.I think people are just used to instant gratification these days in their entertainment.
Which is a good point.Or that not every installment is for everybody. It's ok to not like a show.
I definitely understand the liking something most people don't or vice versa. I enjoy AOTC most of all, am not sold on the Mandalorian, and generally find the Bad Batch unnecessary. The biggest thing for me though is that, like Star Trek, just because "Star Wars" doesn't mean I have to like it or watch it.Which is a good point.
Andor reminds me of the movie Se7en which self consciously loaded the rainy gloomy visuals on in an effort to be "noir". I thought it was a shit film but everyone else seemed to love it.
Or...people just might not like it. And that's ok. For me, it's not a matter of flow but do I give a shit about Cassian and his story. Right now, I don't. He's an unlikable scoundrel that prides himself on lying his way through everything. That's not very interesting. One thing to consider for people who don't like it so far that maybe all of this will play better once the season is over. People will notice the flow better by binge watching the entire thing from the start. I also know slow burn shows sometimes take time to get a audience. Like Better Call Saul for example.
It will not.Can anyone confirm the 3 episode releases will continue?
and was originally announced as 2 for the original August release date. I'm glad they went with 3.The 3-episode drop was just for the premiere.
There's just one episode per week starting this week. The 3-episode drop was just for the premiere.
It will not.
