Spoilers Andor season one

I think people are just used to instant gratification these days in their entertainment.
I have a pretty long attention span. I'm a tortoise, not a hare.

I just didn't like it.

Or that not every installment is for everybody. It's ok to not like a show.
Which is a good point.

Andor reminds me of the movie Se7en which self consciously loaded the rainy gloomy visuals on in an effort to be "noir". I thought it was a shit film but everyone else seemed to love it.

One thing to consider for people who don't like it so far that maybe all of this will play better once the season is over. People will notice the flow better by binge watching the entire thing from the start. I also know slow burn shows sometimes take time to get a audience. Like Better Call Saul for example.

I definitely understand the liking something most people don't or vice versa. I enjoy AOTC most of all, am not sold on the Mandalorian, and generally find the Bad Batch unnecessary. The biggest thing for me though is that, like Star Trek, just because "Star Wars" doesn't mean I have to like it or watch it.

Or...people just might not like it. And that's ok. For me, it's not a matter of flow but do I give a shit about Cassian and his story. Right now, I don't. He's an unlikable scoundrel that prides himself on lying his way through everything. That's not very interesting.

Another vote for the show. It was engaging for the most part for me by its differences from the usual fare, just like R1 felt back in its day.

Can anyone confirm the 3 episode releases will continue?

There's just one episode per week starting this week. The 3-episode drop was just for the premiere.

I'm fine with people not liking something after the first 3 episodes, I just don't believe in judging a show after a single episode, it could be the worst episode of the series. For me one season is the minimum I watch before deciding if I want to continue.

I mean, what if the first episode of TNG you ever saw was 'Code of Honor' and you judged the entire series on that? Or replace TNG with some other show that has had a really bad episode.

Though that reminds me of a story that Garrett Wang has told, that his first episode of TNG *was* Code of Honor, and almost every time he went to watch TNG on syndication for years after it was almost always Code of Honor that was airing.

Not quite. Granted that is because that last few episodes turned into Mandalorian episodes. Show should have change it's name at that point to "The Book of Boba Who?"

I've watched enough anime that I know that you should give a series three to four episodes to impress you. If they haven't by then, it probably will not. However sometimes you will hear that they had a much better second season and you can get into it from there.

I agree that you need at least some episodes to judge a series. The only exception is if you hate so much a certain genre that you need just an episode to understand it isn't for you. For example, I can't stand harem anime, so even if you introduce me to a masterpiece in this particular genre, I'm pretty sure I won't continue with watching it.
