NFL 2022: The Fall of the "Immunized" Aaron Rodgers

I wasn't paying attention. Did Bud Light just air a commercial that said it was 32 years between Rams Super Bowl titles?

Here I was thinking this was going to be rough. I mean I'm not liking the sloppy play but the Bills at least showed up to play.

I've been hearing a lot of stuff about Stafford, and wasn't he injured coming into this game? He definitely didn't look 100% but I expect him to be better as the season goes on. Allan on the other hand, man he reminds me of a mix of Lamar Jackson and Mahomes. That stiff arm early in the game was fantastic.

Now the media are all ready to nominate the Bills champions. I know sports media has always been reactionary by nature, but I feel like it's just gone to ridiculous levels the last few years.

Definitely a long time between now and February. Lots of September champions are on the outside looking in by that time of the year.

I really like Lamar Jackson, electric player, but he needs to sign an extension before something happens to his mobility.

Rams have a ton of talent, and I’m not worried about them making the playoffs, but they have a lot of work to do on the offensive line.

I am definitely a little worried. It’s not like we fought hard and came up short. We got blown out at home in the second half.

If we can’t find a way to run the ball, it’s going to be a very long season indeed.

My Colts open their season against the rival Houston Texans tomorrow. To most NFL fans, this might not be among the most interesting games on the slate - but in the AFC South, it has big implications. Is Matt Ryan the fit at QB that Indy has been searching for since Luck's shock retirement? Is Davis Mills truly the answer for Houston - were the encouraging flashes he showed last year flashforward signs of the future... or merely flashes of the pan?

Elsewhere, with Doug Pederson hoping to steer "generational talent" Trevor Lawrence back on track and the Titans hoping to follow up on a season in which they finished as the AFC's #1 seed, the AFC South could be a sneaky intriguing division.

Hey Indy fan, I'm a Texan fan. I think Jacksonville and Houston will be fighting it out for 3rd and 4th place while Indy and Tenn will cover for 1st and 2nd place in the division. Texans aren't ready for prime time yet. They are on their 3rd head coach in 3 years, 2nd rebuild from scratch in 2 years, but still have some nice picks left from the Watson trade. If, and that's a really big IF, the Texans have somehow managed to land a good GM in Caserio, they'll be somewhat competitive next year and nicely competitive in 2024.

Houston fans are seriously divided on Davis Mills. But for now, it wouldn't matter who the QB is on the Texans, the best QB on the planet couldn't take the Texans to the playoffs this year, they just don't have enough talent. The Texans have two picks in the 1st round the next two drafts, if they need a QB they can get one. The problem is, just because you get a supposed great QB in the draft, doesn't mean they'll amount to anything. Lawrence of Jacksonville is a bust for now, Davis Mills future looks bright, but a NFL season can change all that.

My prediction is the division will end this year with Indy on top, Titans in 2nd place but not in the playoffs, Texans in 3rd place and Jacksonville bringing up the rear for no other reason than they are Jacksonville.

It is extremely unwise for him to be negotiating without an agent.
