I said 'what I would consider', you're not me.The majority of Discovery ships.![]()
I have but that is not something I hold against a show. If the show works then the ship can be ugly or whatever. If not, no good design will keep my interest.I've yet to see what I would consider a hideous canon design.
It's all subjective. Looks fine to me. Looks real, capable, balanced. Not sure how it is wrong for the era.
Ok. Take your word for it at this point. Agree to disagree, etc.It doesn't look like it belongs in the 25th century.
That kind of design aesthetic was abandoned by SF in the 23rd century.
Why no phaser strips?
It LITERALLY looks like a 23rd century ship with oversized (and quite frankly WHY so huge?) impulse engines.
It has phaser strips, they're just not visible in the trailer, you can see them on a computer diagram Terry posted in January. Why no phaser strips?
Looks like a Sovereign.Bill posted a model of the Titan

I'm guessing the Titan I will show up in the Conference roomLooks like a Sovereign.
Probably. They do like their models in conference rooms.I'm guessing the Titan I will show up in the Conference room
It's my favourite ship and I can't even remember the tegistry number.(the Deep Space Nine, no I don't remember the registry number, no I don't care).
Yup. Ships in service to the characters not characters in service to the ships.I'm here for the stories and the characters.

RetconIn Lower Decks, the only past Starfleet Titan before the Luna class was a FASA Loknar.
What's wrong with Titan? If they named it.. Any other name... I would just say.. Cool.. But they named it Titan.. Ugh..

What's wrong with Titan?
However, as we saw, ST:Picard did canonize the Nx-01 refit with the secondary hull (which was featured in the novelverse)... indicating the ship DID in fact serve beyond the 10 year time frame.
Elkins, Curry / Raging Queen, 3-nacelled Excelsior variant, Yeager, Freedom, Niagara, Ambassador, Disco BoP...I've yet to see what I would consider a hideous canon design.
