Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

Hi guys,

I have finally found the time (and more importantly: the energy :rommie:) to respond to some of the recent posts. I wanted to write earlier ... but life is what it is - as you all probably know.
Anyway here it goes:

This is even more poignant knowing Naomi will eventually lose her mother. It’s kind of a tough one. Thanks for the wallpaper. I enjoy these so much!
Does this happen in one of the new series? The more I read about those, the worse they sound tbh. DISC and PIC and all those are not available in Hungary yet as far as I know. Not that I am too excited, going by the bits and pieces I occasionally read about them ... :brickwall: (And yes, things go a lot more slowly in this part of the world. Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars only became available here about a month or so ago.)

And you are very welcome @KimMH. I am glad to see you like my wallpapers. COLD FIRE ones are coming along, although they are by far not ready to be shared yet. Revisiting them often makes me change things here and there ... Luckily, with COLD FIRE we finally have an episode that is not like 80% of it was shot in the dark - so it's relatively easy to find good pictures of Kes and all the other characters. But it's Kes we are talking about so I want to include flowers and stuff and they are a hassle ... :adore:
But where is the hero of this episode and of seasons 4-7 as well?
Flotter!
Nowhere to be seen!
:wah:
Submerged in the lake for the time being . But he might resurface in a later wallpaper ...
I need to rewatch some of these; your wallpapers are making me want to. I actually have this series on DVD too... as opposed to DS9. ;)
Thanks, CM. Yeah, making wallpapers is almost synonymous with rewatching the eps. It's more like reexperiencing them from a different point of view. I normally start by rewatching the ep I am making pictures for, so that I can find one or two quotes that I can include in the wallpapers.
I love the jigsaw background of the "Once Upon A Time" wallpaper.
Thanks. You might have noticed earlier I have a few more with the jigsaw puzzle ... I like it as a background element so I sometimes use it. But there is nothing like the starry sky, that is usually the most beautiful background, esp. since we are talking about science fiction here.
I love the idea that Flotter has comforted, entertained and inspired children for multiple generations. Space Mr. Rogers.
I'm afraid I have no idea who Mr. Rogers is but I take your word for it. And yes, it's a great idea - actually, my first wallpaper for that ep was devoted to the topic (I shared it a very long time ago ...).
Like the art, dislike the ep.
Oh you don't like the episode? It's actually one of my fav. Apart from making Harry look like a fool - but that's standard procedure on VOY, nothing new there :borg: - I think it's a great ep with tons of fun. I like it when VOY is not always about "getting home" but some other things happen. Like a proposal :guffaw:

And I am glad to hear you like the wallpaper. Feel like playing a little? Look at the colour scheme. What do you think inspired it? Think carefully - go from the top down: black, then blue(ish)/grey(ish) with a touch of white culminating in red. Any guesses? :)
I like the quotes inserted in these wallpapers....it seems like the divided self motif comes up with alot of characters on Trek.
Thanks. I mentioned above that I usually start out by watching the episodes I want to make wallpapers for because I want to see if there are usable qoutes. Sometimes the quotes themselves give me an idea as to what to include in the pictures although I am a very visual person and most of the time my ideas come from seeing something that triggers something off in my brain. Colours especially have a significant effect on me. Of course, I am sometimes frustrated because I can't turn the idea in my mind into a picture - like in 10-20% of the cases. It shows there's room for development in the world of photoshopping for me!

And yes, the divided self often comes up - in Trek and other sci-fi shows. Quite literally in the case of B'Elanna actually .
Great colors.
Thanks @Athena28 . You might have read in an earlier post how that wallpaper came into being - and why no Neelix in it. And yes, I find that that colour scheme is quite a relaxing one - it's amazing the guys are wearing (near) identical colours!

Talking about colours, there'll be lots of yellow in my COLD FIRE pictures. It's fun, I don't remember ever using yellow so much. But cold or not, we are talking about fire after all .

I know I definitely wanted to see the wedding and we didn't get to. I felt cheated. But all in all, I just didn't care for the ep.

As for the color scheme, is it a Scottish tartan?

I like the quotes too. I really like this wallpaper for Nemesis and I love that the quote is the message of the episode: Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers
I think Nemesis is really clever - the language Chakotay uses changes as he is being brainwashed. It takes a little while to understand what the aliens are saying, like when I watch Shakespeare it takes a while to be able to understand the characters. I'm surprised it isn't Robert Beltran's favourite episode because he's in pretty much every scene and the use of language is really clever.

The starry sky is incredibly beautiful and it is amazing that every time we look up at the sky we're looking back in time.

I would love to have seen the wedding too!

I think the colour scheme is the same as the jumpsuits that Tom, B'Elanna and Harry are wearing, but in a different order.

Good call - but no. Nevertheless I should have a look at some pics of tartan, they might give me an idea.

Naturally, the colours of the original episode always have an influence on me but very often there is a special colour scheme that I use for a wallpaper.
This time the idea was not quite original (=wasn't my idea) but it does not change the fact that the colour scheme of that DRIVE wallpaper was based on something entirely different:

@Thomas Eugene Are those LCARS “buttons” in the background? If so, can you tell me what they say? And are they meant to represent Harry who was the only one not on the Holodeck, but working on the bridge?

Sorry @Athena28 I don't even understand the question ... :brickwall:
If you are asking me about what those buttons say, I can't see them any better than you can, I'm afraid ...
That's a good one of Janeway... all good pics of her running a small gamut of emotions.
Thx. That picture is big fav of mine, simply because it's red and blue: my fav combination of colours.
