Yes. And the Hirogen's motivation for being villians was unique and original.
I mean, Predator beat them to it by several years...
Really like the sense of color and composition in all these wall papers.
I’m just curious why Neelix isn’t in the “Mortal Coil” image….maybe to underscore the idea of absence, non existence after death? Ethan Phillips was so convincing in this episode, it was his favorite. The ending where he refrains from telling Naomi there was no magic forest after all, is so poignant.

The Hirogen are my fav villains too (together with the Borg). I am always glad to see them appear here and there after Season 4, which was their main season so to speak. Soon(ish) I'll share a picture with them from FLESH AND BLOOD - one of my fav Hirogen wallpapers so far.
Hi Trekker, is DS9 your fav? Earlier I made a wallpaper with Janeway and Sisko I don't know if you have seen it.
And thx for your kind words - I am glad you like the wallpapers. They are much fun to make, and a really relaxing way of spending some of my free time. I had actually just finished one for COLD FIRE before coming online.
I mostly remember the circumstances of creation for all my wallpapers but that one with the guys stands out in my memory (even though it was several years ago). As usual with most episodes, I made 15 pictures for MORTAL COIL and only two don't have Neelix in them (the other one is with Janeway, shared in this thread earlier). So since he is the protagonist of the episode, I included him as much as possible. But when making the above wallpaper I was looking for a good gradient as background and I only accidentally found the one I applied. It really was a miracle that it was made of more or less the same colours as the guys's clothes. So Neelix's colours would have clashed with it and I decided not to include him in that wallpaper. But as you might have seen earlier, he is heavily featured in most of my other pics for that episode.

I need to rewatch some of these; your wallpapers are making me want to. I actually have this series on DVD too... as opposed to DS9. 
I love the jigsaw background of the "Once Upon A Time" wallpaper.
I love the idea that Flotter has comforted, entertained and inspired children for multiple generations. Space Mr. Rogers.But where is the hero of this episode and of seasons 4-7 as well?
