I’m sticking to my thought that it’s Gul Madred’s daughter.
I’m sure that feels random and farfetched, but “there are four lights” is iconic, and if Madred’s prestigious career was torn asunder as a result of his failure to break Picard, and then you couple that with all of Cardassia’s misfortunes by the end of DS9… well, the warped perspective of a woman who lives through that, who dislikes Garak’s vision for a new Cardassia, and who hates Picard after having only ever actually seen him for all of three minutes some 32 years ago? But quietly following the success of his own life?
It feels downright Shakespearean to me. Give the gig to Rosario Dawson.
Of course, I’m probably mistaken, which then sidetracks almost everything else I’m guessing about the season.
