A lot of the big guns were barely modified http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Star_Wars_(1977) http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/The_Empire_Strikes_Back http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Return_of_the_Jedi When my dad was in Basic training in Canada, they were still using the Starling SMG and recognized it right away from Star Wars.
I figured a visual guide would be helpful. The channel Gamespot had some armory guests on to show case the real world weapons and modifications made (or, not made) to create the originals:

The Senate has had some minor alterations since the birth of the Empire, including the well underneath the Speaker's rostrum now being in the shape of the Imperial cogwheel. I mean, you sort of HAD to make some alterations, didn't you? Emperor Palpatine and Yoda pretty much trashed the entire joint in one night.
And as promised: I am surprised. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but it all seems so much more sterile. Which is weird since it's not as if the colour pallet has changed. Maybe it's the more matte finish on the pods combined with the single oppressive spotlight? I don't know . . . Side note: kinda wild that after a long absence, we're finally seeing this place again on not one, but two shows airing within the same month (presumably?) It's neat when they can coordinate projects like that.
Who cares? It's the same repeated talking points. The number of channels I actually enjoy for Star Wars related content I can count on one hand, not including my thumb.
Actually, who cares what fans think at this point? The PT destroyed that bridge and the ST nuked the pilings to ensure it couldn't be built again. Fans have become the thing they swear production teams are-damaging to the franchise.
Presumably The Bad Batch, since none of the live actions shows are airing at that time, and they have the models of it from Clone Wars (did it show up in the trailer?). That said, Lando potentially and The Acolyte certainly are in eras where it might show. Ahsoka, The Mandalorian and Skeleton Crew are set in eras where we can see the new Hosnian Prime legislative chamber(s). They could reuse an old building which might exist as early as The Acolyte for other gatherings. I kind of want to see the Jedi temple (OK, Obi-Wan Kenobi brought us a little bit of it) and the Sith shrine, and Monument Plaza with Palpatine's statue that was toppled at the end of ROTJ.
This one. These days it goes by "the Imperial Palace". And yeah, while it's shown up in books and comics already (and technically RotJ) it would be cool to see it in animation, if not live action. Honestly I think there's a 50/50 chance it could show up in Andor at some point, give how substantial the Mon Mothma/political element seems to be.
Oh, I forgot they showed Palpatine and the Senate in The Bad Batch Season 2 trailer. The Capital of the New Republic rotated through different planets on a regular basis, so it probably wasn't Hosnian Prime at the time of those shows. The closest I can find is Nakia 5 years after Yavin, and I believe The Mandaloria, ect. are set around 9 ABY, so it might still be there.
Yep but the Obi-Wan trailer looked good too. I hope to God this is as dark as the trailer and we don't end up with the adventures of Andor and cutesy Yoda/child/Ewok and some bore of a bad guy or enemy that means nothing if I haven't watched the cartoons
