DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Based on SDCC previews, we have some good stuff coming up. I'm happy to see another Shazam movie and *thrilled* they got rid of the plastic symbol on the suits. I know Dwayne has been trying to get Black Adam made forever, so I'm hoping it's really good.

I hope we get Blue Beetle and Batgirl info soon.

As others have wrote, it must suck that DC/WB can't heavily promote The Flash and Aquaman 2. I hope they're good anyway.

Surprised no one has posted this

Jason Momoa seems to have revealed on social media that Ben Affleck is appearing in Aquaman 2. Which comes out before the Flash.

so are the people on Twitter demanding to Boycott WB going to boycott this? ;)

So this confirms that wb has made the decision not to release flash and Batgirl... Damn!

From the article:
"The two-time Oscar winner played the dual role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and its is set to reprise for next year’s The Flash."

Didn't see anything confirming anything in your comment

It's official

And at one point Affleck's Batman was supposed to die in "Flashpoint"

This could mean anything, including him just having another appearance/cameo as batman written into some prior contract. I do love the trolling of Snyder stans though, even after Jim Lee outright said WB/DC were completely done with Snyder style DC movies, they keep doing little things to keep the Snyder stans pretending that they're this close to "winning".

I mean, I do wish they'd stop giving them false hope because Snyder stans are really annoying. But I kind of enjoy the fact that Snyder stans are never getting another film in Snyder's style, and the DC film universe in general will basically have nothing to do with his movies going forward (and almost certainly just retcon all the unsuccessful stuff away when Flash eventually releases), but they're going to keep holding out a weird hope that DC will for some reason go back to a film style that underperformed and were generally horribly received by critics and general audiences. Its like sticking Snyder Stans in purgatory, but unfortunately we still have to hear them

I really liked Affleck as Batman so I'm glad we're getting more of him. I know he had sworn he was done with the role after Justice League, and I had assumed The Flash would be the absolute very last we'd see him, so I'm pretty shocked. I wonder what changed his mind? A truckload of money? A better experience working on The Flash?

I do not believe he's ever been the type to accept projects based on what he was paid, so one might guess he enjoyed the creative environment / what he was able to bring to the various films. Whatever his motive, he delivered the best live action Batman to date.
