I love this........... Is it molded in colour or was that your work, the green parts I mean, and was it glue or snap?

Thanks! :) I painted everything except the pad.

If you get a chance to go to Florida and tour the Kennedy Space Center I highly recommend going to the Saturn V building and the Shuttle Atlantis building. It's really impressive just how MASSIVE these things really are and seeing them in person.

Happy Apollo 11 Moon Landing day!

I had to slightly modify the box with taller side supports for the pieces to fit and be braced against crushing.

This kit features a shadow indicator marking the exact position of the Sun during their visit.

Notice the authentic surface geography of the site on this display. I was surprised by this revelation, I always thought the site was flatter.

Overall view of the site. Note the camera tripod behind Buzz in the upper left. That is the angle most of the well known images of the site originate. Like the famous ladder descent. Be sure to soak in these rare views from different angles of the site. (some items may not yet be completed or shown in these images)

Neil landed the Eagle with the front facing up an incline.

Rare backside Starboard view.

I was there a few months ago and you are completely correct.

I found a new gateway drug it's called Hobbylink Japan the pain is induced in my wallet...

On July the 21st every year I bring these two models out and sit them on my desk and enjoy them. They are a brand of 3D puzzle by famemaster bought off Amazon

I don't think prepainted kits are cheating. You can always add more to them to make them more detailed to your own liking.

Was that Saturn 5 prepainted?

I'll take that as a compliment. But look closely. It wasn't prepainted.

The bag you see it in is one of the original parts bags I reused to put the pieces in for storage in the box.

Here is a short unboxing vid for that kit showing bare unpainted parts.

So, no, I didn't cheat.

No problem.

A couple people before you have made the same mistake.

I have decided, to help prevent this misunderstanding in the future, I will take pics of newly opened kits to add to that kit's future spotlight post.:)

OK finished what is perhaps the most weird model I have ever done.....Two Game consoles. These are snap kits by Bandai. Also a box with a model inside of a CNC milling machine because "why not" and it's something different which is what I wanted, I think one of you guys recommended Hobbylink Japan.

Anyway onto the models

I admit I don't understand why those kits as I boxed up and stored all my old video game consoles to get them out of my way, but I do understand your apparent happiness with having them. :techman:

Oh they appealed to me because of the very fact, that they were different, not the usual cars, trains, ships or things that are usually the subject of model making. That is kind of why they appeal to me.

The CNC machine is a HUGE model, not big in size but lots and lots of internal parts. I have metallic paint pens so I will make an effort to paint a few of the internal parts as I assemble the model.
