Well, he's got his cone off one too many times so we've gone the baby shirt route. Now he looks like he's about to stop at the 7 eleven to pick up some wrap around sunglasses and Budweiser before heading to the beach. Apparently most cat's fit in a baby's size 0-3 months, so I got him size 6 months... (Oh, and he still has a little way left to go on his GoFundMe -- any help would be hugely appreciated!)
One of our dear-departed cats, Natasha, had a wound on her throat. She scratched at a pimple so much she literally dug a hole in her neck. Took her to the vet for stitches. They put her in a cone, and she dang near killed herself running around the house with that on. Plus she couldn't eat/drink. We tried cutting the cone down and then bought a soft cone. That didn't work, and she could still scratch at the wound. We took the cone off her, and my wife made a two-inch wide fake leather collar. That did the trick; try as she might, she couldn't dig at her neck.
@ 1:25 in this video, the cats are wearing something more like an inner tube. I'm guessing it's similar to the "cone of shame". https://fb.watch/egdhV8OuZa/
Trixie, the mighty eight-pound fluffy huntress, stalked and killed her first lizard today. The beastie had somehow found its way inside the house, only to be dispatched by a green-eyed engine of death who now wants a tummy rub.
