Free Illyrians!!! Free the Augments!!!...

Not "home," but "homeworld." Think of it this way, as a colloquialism, in the same way we can call Earth the heart of the Federation even though it's actually a planet. See what I mean? We don't have to be so literal about a word, especially when the actual point of a comment is understood.

I guess I must have hit a nerve there...doctor.
nonsense, do you expect me to quote rex tillerson?

Nice. So Earth can be called the Federation's homeworld after all, since that was where it originated from. Thanx.
again: a species evolved or a person comes from - the federation is neither a species nor a person

... i don't know what your field of expertice is but if i started to spout nonsense about, let's say the second law of thermodynamics, and got schooled i'd simply shut the fück up

Dude, chill. It's not the end of the world. Since you could only go to the Oxford Dictionary of Science Fiction for your example, it still remains in the realm of...well, science fiction. Don't know why this trivial thing is so important to you, but it's not worth getting high blood pressure over.

dude, you don't have a clue what you are talking about but you are of course right (for whatever reason*) - methinks we should stop it here and now as it's kinda senseless

* maybe it's as simple as an admiral trumps a commodore under any circumstances

Wow, you're really stressed out about this...but it wasn't worth arguing over anyway. So this thread should go back on topic.

Nope. I just used a made-up world in a colloquial sense and you kind of lost it.

Now that's trolling. Stay civil please.
  1. words are not made up they way you think they are - it's called composite nouns
  2. you are telling me whatever i learned is irrelevant because of head-dictionary
  3. feel free to call a mod about that

There's no need to call a mod, but it might be good to stop responding to my posts if they upset you or maybe put me on ignore.

Not at all, because people understood what I meant. As earlier, if you don't like what I say or how I say it, put me on ignore. Believe me, it won't hurt my feelings.
  1. putting people on igno is childish
  2. also, i always wonder what's in the missing posts
  3. understood what i meant is the slippery slope (into oblivion) for any language

I'd say multiple people engaged on this far more than necessary. Us nerds do like sci-fi words to be used properly though.
multiple people? just three (and we win 2:1)

... it doesn't matter that we are also right
