TNG new line of Reaction figures

Nice, but I think at this point you're better off waiting for the Playmates Toys relaunch, unless you really need an Armus figure.

I just need figures in the "true scale" of 3.75 inches. I'm not a fan of the Reaction style (to put it mildly), but for figures, they're the only game in town at that scale.

I love the old Playmates line (in theory) and I can say this without exaggeration: if they had been made in the 3.75" scale, I would have bought every single one of 'em. Playsets, too. Instead, I think I owned about 10 total, tops, (and then sold them all off years later.)

They always seem to make figures of Troi wearing her lavender suit.
Why not change it up and give us a Season 1 Troi figure with that weird bun and the unfinished looking grey suit? :-P

Honestly, I was hoping that Reaction/Super7 would have given her her Season 7 blue uniform look. And since they love taking the cheap way out and reusing parts, that could have led us to an easy-to-make figures of Ensign Ro, Commander Shelby or Crusher without the lab coat (for starters!)

Yeah Season 7 is, hands down, Troi's best look, but I'd also love Season 1 since it was such a bizarre look with all that jewellery in her hair and that shapeless grey suit with the circle-shaped neckline.
As to the figures in general...I'm not really a collector or own any Star Trek figures, but it would be nice if they make some of higher quality with more posable points again. If they made some Lower Decks ones I might even buy them.

Playmates Toys will be doing the more detailed figures with greater points of articulation. Given how Playmates have a history of doing toys for a wide range of licenses from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Star Trek, it seems likely they'll do Lower Decks figures at some point.

ReAction figures are intentionally done to be as retro (early to mid 1980s) as possible.

Whoops! Her blue uniform actually started in Season 6. Sorry, Captain Jellico!

Yeah, I'd VASTLY prefer figures with superior sculpting and articulation. But, as I said, I'm a 3.75" guy and so these are the only game in town (well and the 1987 galoob figures, which, despite being 35 years old, do have decent sculpting and at least SOME additional articulation.)

But Season 6 Troi looked crap because she had that one really ugly wig that made her look like a country singer from the 70s (or maybe some prim, Victorian lady) and also really bad makeup.
In season 7 she had the uniform, gorgeous, more natural looking hair and very flattering makeup, so it was her best look, imo.

I love Troi's first season look! And I'd love a figure with that look. Would go with my Galoobs!
It's a fun look, because it's so weird.
But it's also completely awful, that grey suit would have needed a collar badly (like the ones her red and lavender suits had) because as it was it looked unfinished.
And also, I would prefer her early season 1 look, with the pink crotch arrow belt and the neckline was literally a semi-circle shape that looked like they had cut it into the suit at the last minute to give her cleavage
Later in season 1 they seem to have re-cut the suit to have a more pointed neckline to show off the actresses boobs more, and replaced the pink belt with a grey one, but they still failed to add a collar, making it still look unfinished.
