The only issue I had was that, once again, Obi Wan has Vader at his mercy and chooses to walk away instead of landing the killing blow. I know both have to stay alive in order for the rest of the movies to work, but it makes Obi Wan look incredibly foolish. I think a stalemate of some kind would have worked better.Yup, was it perfect, far from it, was it still enjoyable? Hell yeah.
Perhaps killing someone isn't all that easy. The only issue I had was that, once again, Obi Wan has Vader at his mercy and chooses to walk away instead of landing the killing blow. The best time to do that would've been the end of ROTS. A Darth Malgus style suit would've been a good choice.Thinking more about it now, I think the show would have worked better if this was only a couple of years after Episode III rather than 10. That way that line in ANH is more significant when he says it’s been a long time rather than just 9 years.
Another controversial opinion I have is that Vader should have had a different looking suit here. Something that would make him more agile and shows his face more. During his fight it gets badly damaged by Kenobi that he has to go back to his older suit.
I just think it would give the show and battle a unique look, not to mention giving them new merchandising ideas. The Vader Mk. II suit so to speak.
I was thinking something like that as well. He’s trying out a new suit but it gets destroyed by Kenobi. The best time to do that would've been the end of ROTS. A Darth Malgus style suit would've been a good choice.
Mace Windu had no issue with ending an Emporer who was begging for his life.Perhaps killing someone isn't all that easy.
Hmmm...Mace Windu had no issue with ending an Emporer who was begging for his life.![]()
Yeah, that should cover it. Mace had no attachment to Palpatine. Obi-Wan has to get to that place. Probably with Qui-Gon's help.He knew Anakin since he was kid and watched him grow up. It wouldn't be easy to do, even if you should.
That's not what happens. He beats him and then tells him he's under arrest.Mace Windu had no issue with ending an Emporer who was begging for his life.![]()
He also watched him kill innocent children on a holorecording as well as innocent people on Tattoine. He also knows that this guy is responsible for numerous dead jedi as well as suffering across the entire galaxy. Attachments are forbidden so by him not killing Vader he looks weak as a jedi.He knew Anakin since he was kid and watched him grow up. It wouldn't be easy to do, even if you should.
Then he says he's going to end it once and for all because the emporer is too dangerous to be left alive. Did you forget why Anakin chopped Windus hand off? That's not what happens. He beats him and then tells him he's under arrest.

Stupid humans. But normal as a human.
All true, but there was no chance of Obi Wan arresting Vader. And then he tells Anakin that Palpatine controls the Senate and the courts, that he'll never see justice and it's too dangerous for him to be left alive, and winds up for the coup de grace before Anakin stops him.
Anakin, with regards to killing Dooku after he was captured; "Yes, but he was an unarmed prisoner. I shouldn't have done that, it's not the Jedi way."
Palpatine likely enjoyed the Catch-22 of it all, that if Windu was a good Jedi, he'd wiggle to scheme another day, and if Windu killed him, he'd have allowed the dark side into his heart and would surely be corrupted (or worse, now that we have that damned Sith body-swapping nonsense).

She's the CEO of Lucasfilm. The boss.
Kathleen “Star Wars films have no source material” Kennedy? That one?![]()
I get that, what I wasn't sure about was how involves he would actually be with developing the stories, or the day to day production of the movies or shows. The way some people talk about her, you'd think she was making all of these movies and shows by herself. She is Executive Producer of the shows. Which is the big boss. So yes she has a say in everything. But I get the impression she lets people do their thing. She is successful for a reason.
