Soldier Boys is probably easier to handle, i.e. he has more vulnerabilities than Homelander. At this moment though Butcher can only see Homelander and will do anything and ally with everybody if it gets him closer to kill Homelander. It currently doesn't look good for The Boys, they are fracturing everywhere.

Anyone think A-Train might have finally reached a tipping point and stop being an A-Hole?

Aye. Though I would get absolutely pasted in a fight with Psycho-Captain America, there's just no way I would even consider taking on Psycho-Superman.

Great, great show. I don't think there's been an episode I haven't enjoyed across the three seasons so far.

Seth Rogan’s best role to date.

I'll admit, I never caught onto that though in retrospect it totally makes sense. It's weird how I catch onto the analogues some characters are supposed to be, but not others. For example, I didn't catch onto the fact "The Legend" in this week's episode is supposed to be Stan Lee until some other website pointed it out. But I did catch on, almost right away that Victoria Neuman is supposed to be AOC or Cameron Coleman is Tucker Carlson.

That’s just insulting. Homelander is way more intelligent than Trump.

Season 3 is solid. Vast improvement over season 2. Can't wait to see where the next 5 episodes go.

I know it's tongue in cheek but it completely fits, especially in the last episode when he was asked a business question by that manager and he totally blanked ( awesome acting on the side of Starr).

This is what Trump always ways - huge ambitions but no intelligence to pull it off on top of a massive narcissist complex. If Trump had superpowers he would be Homelander, probably even worse since he has much less self control.

Finished episode 6. Jensen Ackles in a motel room. There's a familiar sight. I get that there is more to him than what we see. I mean he's not a nice guy but I don't think he's evil per say. It must be hard for a near immortal to relate to normal humans. To him they are all going to die anyway.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a twist to Mother Milk's story. Maybe Soldier boy wasn't the person who killed his grandfather.
I'm seeing a lot of people online saying that this episode went to far with the nudity and the sex but I've seen other TV shows go more explicit than this. I did have a good laugh at the warning message at the start. That was good.
That confrontation at the end... I tell you, I got more pumped up for that than Vader and Kenobi. Can't wait to see how it ends.

I'm also glad Homelander squished Termite. He's just gross. :)

He's much-much smarter than the Homelander in the comics. However, that's not a high bar to clear.

He also has no education but being an entertainer.

The fight between Homelander and Soldier Boy and Butcher, with Hughie joining in at the end did not disappoint. It was epic. It really showcased Homelander's power since it took 3 superpowered individuals to take him down. And they almost had him too. Can't wait for the rematch. I also great seeing the WTF look on Homelander's face when he realizes that Butcher has powers.

The scene of Homelander talking to himself in the mirror was great. Great acting. And it was a great insight into Homelander's personality and how terribly insecure he really is deep down. Also the scene in the crime lab when Homelander realizes that Soldier Boy is alive was very telling. You can see the look of genuine concern, even fear, on Homelander's face. But it is telling that Homelander is not worried so much that Soldier Boy might be more powerful, but more than Soldier Boy will be more loved and more popular. Homelander recognizes that Soldier Boy is probably the one supe that could take his place as the leader of the Seven and the hero in the eyes of the public. What Homelander fears the most, being the insecure narcissist, is losing the spotlight and fame.

The ending with Starlight exposing the truth and quitting the Seven was a great cliffhanger. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I can see Starlight being Britney'd/Lohan'd by the Vought PR-team/media/news networks.

I think Soldier Boy probably is not going to be as 'easy' to handle/put down afterwards(if there indeed was an afterwards) since it looked like the gas didn't work anymore. Still having a grounded Supe who can not fly and has more exploitable vices is probably a better alternative if it means you eliminate Homelander.

My god - theface of pure delight on Butcher's face when he's squaring off against Homelander gave me chils - that was such an amazing fight and loved the escalation. Up until the end i wasn't even sure if they'd go through with it and change the story completely by having a depowered Homelander ( who might start using TempV). In true Boys fashion there were some disgusting scenes ( poor MM :ack:), enough gore to invent something post R rating ( loved the warning before the episode ) and enough drama and heartbreak for everybody.

So much to unpack for all the characters but that end was a monster cliffhanger - Annie blew everything up and now i can't wait for next Friday. It'll be such a hard decision to watch Stranger Things Season finale or Boys first ;)

Kind of a mistake in my mind. It immediately dates the show and threatens to obscure Ennis' apparent "all power is corrupting" theme for something more partisan. Better to leave it up to interpretation than hit anyone over the head with it.

To be fair, Trump has been a symbol of American greed, excess, and corruption for forty years.

He's not a story that is going away.

It's not often a show (or movie) can leave me guessing these days, but sweet shit, the Butcher/Soldier Boy/Hughie vs Homelander fight had me completely taken in and unsure how it would turn out. I was quite impressed by that.
