it's a three letter abbreviation and part of the alphabet soup - cia, fbi, atf, nsi, dea, epa, irs, fca (all of which can arrest you) would good morning sir, i'm special agent mojochi, seeya. you are under arrest. even work?
you think that had given walter peck an edge over dr venkman? i bet he still would have called him names in the mayor's office
We always think of it as a blessing to die in your sleep. I assume we're thinking it spares the person having to face their death consciously... but are we really thinking that through? Facing it subconsciously, in your sleep? Sounds like potentially the worst goddamn nightmare you'll ever have
I don't even know how exactly Venkman knew that Peck didn't have a dick. Generally, people consider it a blessing because it's presumably quick and painless. If you were in pain, you would likely awaken. Regarding whether dying unaware and in your sleep is good or bad depends on your attitude toward death, and how you conceive the afterlife to be.
Reminds me of that old joke: I want to die peacefully in my sleep like Grandpa -- not screaming in terror like his passengers!
I think given the choice, I'd rather not know my death was coming. I don't want to have to sit around dreading it, and thinking about it, I'd much just have it happen quick, without ever having a chance to even realize it's happening.
Then a quick and painless cessation of existence (I won't say "departure" because you don't think you go anywhere) should suit you fine, I expect. While I don't agree with your afterlife beliefs, I'm fine with an easy transition as well.
Is credit card score a sham? Mine dropped 36 points because my usage increased 5% this month. It tells me over 30% usage is bad, so I go to see what my usage is...... and it's at 11%.
I don't know. I don't know how those scores work, other than that you have to do something truly special to get over 800.
