Spoilers The Boys: Season 3 on Amazon Prime Video (2022)

Homelander by S5/S6 (when The Boys should end, IMO) will become King Of Earth, then he rapidly declines into a very lonely and reactive figure, spending his final months angrily smashing down on everybody (surving militaries, 'supes, and the Boys) as they all gang up on him, and their fear is fueling their hatred of him.

I'm confused maybe. How did Hughie suddenly know that Butcher was using compound V at the beginning of the episode?

Ok, I didn't connect the dots. I didn't think green vomit automatically means compound V.

He teleports...out of his clothes? Was this accidental or can he only teleport organic material? If so, that's not as helpful as it may seem.

I'm thinking it's intentional and he can only teleport his own flesh and blood body by himself. Although I supposed organic material could be tested if he tries to teleport holding a banana or something.

I do really want Homelander to die however. Do we think A-Train really would have given up Supersonic? (I need to look up what his actual powers were!)

I do love that despite everything Edgar was still incredibly calm

Concerning A Train absolutely - he is so dependent on his superpersona for publicity and mass adoration he's willing to do anything to remain in the Seven, including taking massive abuse by Homelander or ratting out someone else to get good standing with Homelander. He's became a pathetic human being but it remains to be seen if he has a line or not.

That's what makes Edgar such a terrific villain - it's his ruthlessness and absolute calm demeanor that makes him so frightening. Homelander has won this battle but Edgar told him the truth - he will fuck it up on his own and this time Edgar won't cover it up.

The dick scene made me go "?!?!" at first and then I was just like "Oh right, The Boys, blood and gore in 3... 2..... yep, there it is."

Maybe I'm weird but the gore is kinda getting, well... boring to me at this point. And we can just kill off A-Train and/or The Deep? No offense to them but they're just doing the same thing over and over; Supersonic at least was something different before the random off-screen murder.

That said I love what they're doing with Homelander, the outburst and the reaction to it.

So Soldier Boy’s attack can neutralise their abilities. Seems rather simple .
I like how he’s basically the same as Homelander; with how people close to him perceive him. Maybe unlike him, he actually learns and becomes a better person. Probably not though.
I liked him seeing the Robert Singer ad. Should have had him say, “Bobby?” :)

The show is really in top form.
One thing that bothers me, they go looking for the weapon that killed Soldier Boy, under the assumption it will work on Homelander too. Instead they find a substance that can knock out Soldier Boy and no one thinks it might work on homelander too?

Considering his girlfriend betrayed him not for money, just because she hated him and said everyone else did... The 'rumors' of his abusing (possibly sexually abusing) the teenage sidekick... I'm gonna guess he wasn't a good person and isn't going to become a good person.

I think they've used gas/drugs before to knock out the invisible guy and that's when they planted the bomb up his ass. I don't believe that's considered a possibility for Homelander. I think they stated in the show how Homelander's metabolism/immune system is resistant to drugs and alcohol. Obviously Soldier Boy's is not that same since he's doing coke and can be knocked out by the gas.

I doubt Butcher cares if Soldier Boy is a good person or not, so long as he can take Homelander out. Of course short term thinking might be Butcher's undoing. What's the point in killing Homelander if Soldier Boy merely takes his place?
