DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Here is a question: If Snyder was allowed to make the JL movie he wanted (basically a 2.5 hour Snyder Cut) would it have saved the DCEU?

Yes. Upthread I mentioned that Snyder's JL had a natural conclusion--the one taking the road paved by the previous films in the series, but it also teased so many great directions the series should take (e.g., the implication of J'onn J'onnz's appearance) or the flash forward apocalyptic world (which added on to the sequence seen in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Ezra is on the move and can't be served court papers

*What Ezra Miller is thinking right now*

But at this point I am thinking we are not going to see the Flash movie released at all.

I don't see how that's possible, given how much they've spent on it and tied their film series to it. It would also be grossly unfair to the many people other than Ezra Miller who worked hard to create the film.

If indeed true these recent allegations are, DC/WB is not going to want anything to do with Miller.

Every decision in Hollywood is ultimately about money, overriding everything else. They may not want to work with Miller again after this, but that doesn't mean they can just casually throw away a movie with such a huge amount of money invested in it. They may want to at this point, but that doesn't mean it will be practical for them to take that kind of a financial hit. They're probably going to lose money no matter what, but the goal will be to minimize their losses. Perhaps they'll delay the release until the news cycle blows over, or try to downplay Miller in the advertising insofar as possible, or something. But it's hard to believe they could just cancel it.

And it should come out in some form, because, again, Miller is not the only participant in the movie. The other actors and filmmakers deserve their share of the residuals. It would be unfair to penalize them financially for something a different person did.

It's a shame they're playing the title character so they can't just cut their scenes.

They should look into the option of digitally replacing Miller in this movie, they'll have to recast the role for any sequel and other appearances at this point, anyway. But I also agree that it shouldn't be Gustin. At this point, it would be too confusing, people would probably expect him to be the Flash from the TV show, like Garfield and Maguire were the Spider-Man from their respective movie universes in No Way Home (especially since the movie also has Keaton's Batman in it), and a lot of fans of the TV show would be disappointed to see he's basically Miller's replacement in the DCEU. Besides, after playing the character for so long on TV, I have my doubts he'd even want to sign up to play a different version of the character in a new franchise.

If replacing him for the whole movie would be too expensive, they can just pick the moment where Barry inevitably disappears into the Speed Force to fix the timeline or whatever, then when he emerges he just looks different with no explanation.
