DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Ugh. I do not know why people loved that movie.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I liked it because it was an interesting character study about how someone who is mentally ill can be pushed into violence by environment in which he lives in.

And I don't get the "incel" comparison as those are a group of people who blame women for their sexual problems which has absolutely nothing to do with Arthur Fleck's motives in the movie.

Still waiting for Man of Steel 2.

Me too. Hopefully the WB shakeup will bring Cavill back along with studio heads who won't rush another justice league before it is ready.

Here is a question: If Snyder was allowed to make the JL movie he wanted (basically a 2.5 hour Snyder Cut) would it have saved the DCEU? Or did people grade it differently because it ended up a streaming movie?

Joker was an excellent movie, but a sequel? Fuck no. Aurthur Fleck was in the right place at the right time to become a symbol for rioting, he's in no way functional enough to become a serious Batman fighting Joker with an army of henchmen.

I saw a headline about the "real" Joker being rumored to appear in the sequel, so maybe Fleck is just a rough draft, like I think Jerome from Gotham turned out to be?

It was a lazy, overused and often misapplied attack about anyone who enjoyed that great film, yet some of the people behind the attacks are among the same who are triggered into fits if their favorite film / type or category of film is critiqued in any manner that does not conclude with a flood of praise.

That would be the sound way to go; the story in Snyder's JL had a natural conclusion, but teased so many great directions the series should take--the implication of J'onn J'onnz's appearance being one such direction.

I wonder how much this will “change the power structure of the DC universe” as The Rock keeps on insisting.

Its probably just a lot of showboating from him that’s all

So long as he fights Zach Levy before teaming up against the real baddie in Shazam 3 and then fights Henry Cavill in Man of Steel 2, I'm in.

It looks serious enough, and with his childhood being so tragic, he cannot--or should not--forget that and/or turn into a quip machine.
