The Animals That Aren't Dogs or Cats Thread

Yeah, but I don't want to say to much on places like social media, because one of women who runs one of the rescue mentioned the possibility of him retaliating against people once he's released. I figure this is a small enough place I shouldn't have to worry to much, but I don't want to say much myself on more popular places like IG or Facebook.

We saw the donkeys again today.

We also had one kind of cool moment, I noticed a plastic bag between us and them, so I went to grab it to throw it away later, and when I went back over to where we had been standing, they followed and came fairly close. So just out of curiosity I got a little bit closer, and they didn't react or run away, I had to really fight the urge to try and walk right up to them and forced myself to stop. I tried to take some more videos at the closest point, but I didn't realize I had switched it to picture, and turned on the 0.5 zoom, which made them really tiny.
My brought her camera and got some pretty good pictures.

I had another really cool moment with one of the horses I've been saying hi to at the stables on my bike rides, but if you guys are tired of my posts about them, I won't tell the story.

I've been following Mia's story on Instagram since she was originally rescued by The Little Farm Rescue, and she has now gone to her home at another sanctuary, Foreverland Farm.

Wizard is one of the animals from the neglect case I posted about, and he's now at The Riley Farm Rescue:

My shirt I wear on my bike rides has been taking a lot abuse during my visits with the horses the last few days, it got muddy snot snorted on one day, got a muddy nose shoved into it yesterday, and then today one of them tried to eat it.

Haha, yeah. I really don't mind, though, that kind of thing is kind of inevitable when you're dealing with animals, especially farm animals. And if I do find a rescue/sanctuary to volunteer at, which I have been thinking about doing, I'll probably get a lot dirtier on a regular basis.
I've been wondering, how many of you on here have pets that aren't dogs or cats? All we have are our two dogs, but in the we've had ferrets, and rats in the past.

Hmm, maybe people should consider guard ducks from now on instead of guard dogs.

That was pretty impressive.
