TMP-DE fully restored in 4K…it’s about time!

You must have missed the part where I said it was.

The ringship appeared in the ENT episode "First Flight". There's a picture of it on the wall of the 602 Club.
No, I didn't. Being a picture on the wall does not make it "on the show." To clarify, the ship was not a main setting on a show like the NX-01 was.

As far as Star Trek history goes the ring ship is as important as the aircraft carrier.

Now, I'm not saying this a good reason per sey but it is a reason to see that acknowledgement happen.

Since the ringship was central to one of Gene Roddenberry's ideas for a show, I'd say that makes it pretty important to Trek history.

In any case, it's not like we really see those pictures close up, so they may have thought it not worth the effort to put the NX-01 in there since it'd have to appear as a grainy black and white image.

Each of those screens could have “flipped “ showing a ship history in the latest version.

In 2001, before we even knew the NX-01, fans were suggesting that the frames in the Rec Deck were screensavers, scrolling through a number of other "Enterprise" images. But then people would complain that they were so busy watching the frames flip, they forgot to listen to Decker's dialogue.

Kobayashi Maru.

I highly doubt audiences would forget how their ears work simply because there were looking at a slideshow happening in 1/10th of the screen. Especially if Kirk's log ends just before Decker says his line.

I have been wrangling pedantic comments about TMP and its several versions for many years now. Yes, there would be complaints. LOL.

Is that a rule now? It may yet turn up in an episode for a more substantial appearance. In fact, any new HMS Enterprise showing up before TMP's time period would create the same complication. It also doesn't have the Enterprize we saw on the holodeck in "Generations".
A rule? No.

A curiosity of mine? Yes. This ring ship is held up as extremely important with very limited information. Versus an actual hero ship. Again, not saying TMP should include the NX-01 but the idea that there is "no reason" to do it is one I find quite odd.
