That's because Wilf is obviously the Rani.Amazed people aren't suggesting Rose is actually the Rani!
That seems unlikely to me. I've heard from a couple of sources that Capaldi really could not stand Pearl Mackie. On the other hand, he really enjoyed working with Matt Lucas.
Adored her, and them together, great team. Surprised that's not as well known, though you'd definitely never the end of it with the "Pearl Mackie forced Capaldi off the show" like.Damn, I hadn't heard about that. A shame because I adored Bill.
Big Finish did this with the War Master and the 8th Doctor but that box seat was recorded a couple of years ago
I can't name the source from whom I first heard about the Capaldi/Mackie friction, but it's someone I know and someone I believe would be credible on the matter for reasons I can't go into. I know that's not helpful, I can't say that what I was told was true, but I personally believe it.Well it is just rumour. An admittedly quick search hasn't brought up anything of note online. I recall hearing something at the time the show was airing I think but who knows where that came from or whether there's any truth to it. Usually these co-star feuds are quite well known?
I'm not a fan either, but a fan mentioned his trousers and coat are more similar to Dhawan's Master clothing than Whittaker's, and that spawned the rumoring...
Supposedly doing some shouting at Wembley Stadium tomorrow before heading back to Cardiff. Even if true no one's going to see it, unless they fly a drone overhead.

Fans- Prepare the drone!
Filming is back to Cardiff on Friday. Also, another busy day this evening in Cardiff, with a shooting shift going from 6 PM to 6 AM
I also think it plays on people's expectations in a bad way. Many people really want to see 10 again. To have it be the Master instead would be a real let down.I’ve heard the master thing before, and I always think it is a bad idea. It seems cool or amusing *on paper* but really what you end up with is a situation where there’s a kind of taint on the character of the doctor by proxy.
That's a great point. It's an opportunity to bring back a past Doctor with a built in reason for why they look older. Of course, RTD want's the most PR bang for his buck, which limits the choices. And he seems more interested (understandably) in building a younger audience than us older ones who'd love to see Davison back!I really hope he isn't the Master. I think it likely is what it appears to be, the Doctor regenerating into a familiar face. I think as a one off, and so long as the Doctor isn't the Doctor for the next three years it's an interesting thing to do. Have to say though there would be more interesting actors to use in terms of a then/now Doctor. Imagine if it was Peter Davison for example (not that Tennant isn't an interesting actor but he doesn't look that different to how he did.)
I've met her as well and she seemed extremely friendly with the fans. Not arrogant at all. Yeah, short interaction. But she was at least making an effort to be really nice (and it came across as utterly genuine). She even remembered me when we bumped into each other randomly later on.I have actually met Mackie and she seemed lovely but obviously it was just a few minutes interaction.
Can I just say that I don’t think Donna would care for the title of this thread?
