Sometime during it's five year mission the U.S.S. Enterprise from a universe quite similar to the Kelvin Timeline encountered an anomalous area of space near Siea 9G3, a variable zone of unstable cyclo-flux, and neutron dust around a polar para-dimensional torus. Captain Kirk and Commander Spock wanted to investigate but first decided to set up an observatory in a space habitat on the surface of the planet. Unable to use the transporters they instead decided to land on the planet and offload ground vehicles from the Enterprise garage and take part in a reconnaissance and study mission of the surrounding area of the habitat, before soon returning to space.
This is an 11 part series (although depicting the same scene from different angles). If you zoom in on these parts you might be able to see different crew members, like Scotty and Keenser, Tolstoy and Arex, Jirun'a and Bry Sinclair, Carl Spock, and Baako reading the Star Wars novelisation.
PART 1
PART 2
PART 3
A while back I was thinking that Star Trek should do a film a bit like "Gravity", "The Martian" and perhaps bits of "Interstellar" and "Prometheus." I wanted to put the Kelvin-Enterprise on the surface of a planet with it's own Hab and it kinda blossomed into something a bit bigger. I wasn't really concerned with canon. This Enterprise looks like the Kelvin but it isn't really. I scaled it to be about 400m, as my only concern was having it's saucer have a similar depth to the TOS and TMP Enterprises. Obviously the Kelvin Enterprise doesn't have a garage and a landing gear taking up a huge amount of space in the bottom of the ship but I wanted to depict the vehicles having a way to enter and exit the ship on their own and also the model I used doesn't have a working shuttlebay. I was also just trying to emulate how the vehicles entered and exited the Prometheus in that film.
