I think that tracks. Nothing embarrassing about intelligent analysis.

And they have almost as much time travel.

Almost as much? It’s one of the shows central conceits.

    A witty rejoinder.

Example: Someone says Doctor Who has always as much time travel as Star Trek.

Meaning: Star Trek having more so much time travel as a literal time travel show suggests that the poster thinks Star Trek overuses it as a plot device.

Doug Drexler recently shared this theory during his interview with TrekCulture - basically that the Temporal Cold War left the timeline fragmented, especially after the ENT era, and that you can consider all subsequent series and movies as living in their own reality bubble if it makes you feel better about inconsistencies.

I don't get love for Trelane, he was OK, Q and his attitudes was a better take on the concept.

I find both characters completely insufferable and not additive.

Watching Enterprise earlier and Inwas musing…

If Roddenberry had thought of the decontamination chamber and crew members rubbing each other down with oil, we’d totally have had that in either TOS or TNG.

    Just imagine the pairings…

This opens up a range of questions.

Do/did Klingons ever use decon chambers?

How does the decon chamber compare to a mud bath for Betazoids?

What if Spock was stuck with McCoy while going through Pon Farr, like T’Pol was with Phlox?

Would Data even need to use a decon chamber?

Would they share a decon chamber with Wesley? Or do they draw the curtains?

Which red shirt actually manages to die using the decon chamber?

Hoe often would Kirk be in a decon chamber with a yeoman? What about Riker with anyone?

Would Leah Brahms share the decon chamber with Gordie after she finds out about holoBrahms if a situation necessitated it?

How does it handle an individual covered in Armus?

Would a captain’s decon ever come into existence?

Do Uhura and Chapel go on more away mission as a result? For that matter, are there scenes with Illa, Saavik & Valaris in the movies using the decon?

How many episodes do we get with Scotty repairing the decon chamber?

Would Chief O’Brien also have to use the decon chamber upon beaming them up, despite not going on most away missions?

That's a lot of questions. Let's tackle them one at a time and as simply as possible to avoid confusion.
    No.
    Faster but not as soothing.
Spock would break out of the chamber to find his preferred mate.
    Yes
    Separate chambers, obviously.
    Ensign Leroy Jenkins.
    Kirk would not.
    Nope.
    Not well.
    Absolutely.
    Not sure why that matterse.
All of them. Especially that one where the decon chamber accidentally causes an evil duplicate
    Yes.

Probably, though they probably just use very painful germ-zapping technology. Feels like an all-over painstick.

How does the decon chamber compare to a mud bath for Betazoids?
Depends on how much decon agent is used.

What if Spock was stuck with McCoy while going through Pon Farr, like T’Pol was with Phlox?
Then the LGBT+ barrier would have been broken half a century early.

Would Data even need to use a decon chamber?
To eliminate germs on his exterior, yes.

Would they share a decon chamber with Wesley? Or do they draw the curtains?
If Wes is old enough to go on away missions, he's old enough to see female officers in their underwear.

Which red shirt actually manages to die using the decon chamber?
the one who was turned into human KFC when that blue light got mysteriously amped up to 2,000,000W

How often would Kirk be in a decon chamber with a yeoman? What about Riker with anyone?
Kirk would usually be in there with McCoy and Spock. Riker would be with Data, Geordi, Worf, or Troi (of whom he already has carnal knowledge)

Would Leah Brahms share the decon chamber with Gordie after she finds out about holoBrahms if a situation necessitated it?
Only if she had a phaser handy. And I'm not sure she'd keep it set on Stun.

How does it handle an individual covered in Armus?
    Maybe it has retractable showerheads.

Would a captain’s decon ever come into existence?
But who would lube him up?

Do Uhura and Chapel go on more away mission as a result? For that matter, are there scenes with Illa, Saavik & Valaris in the movies using the decon?
    Seems likely.

How many episodes do we get with Scotty repairing the decon chamber?
At least one, folowing the fate of Ensign KFC (see above).

Would Chief O’Brien also have to use the decon chamber upon beaming them up, despite not going on most away missions?
Thanks to "Tribunal", I think we've seen enough of Chief O'Brien without clothes.
