They're two separate stories, so I'm not sure why producing them back to back would mean that. They produced season 3 back to back with season 2, which is not good news if you weren't a fan of season 2...
Because it makes it more likely that the bad writing habits shown in season 2 will continue on in season 3.They're two separate stories, so I'm not sure why producing them back to back would mean that.
That was our hopes and dreams of a worthwhile season 3 exploding in the cold vacuum of spaceWhat was that flash in the sky at the very end of the season 2 finale?
Not necessarily.Because it makes it more likely that the bad writing habits shown in season 2 will continue on in season 3.

source?I think what S3 is mostly going to have going for it is stability. Among other things, S1 suffered from tonal tug-of-war between Chabon and the producers, and S2 had Matalas wanting to do time travel, Goldman wanting to do a psychological dissection, and the producers wanting more Borg stuff, and I'm not sure it all meshed well, not to mention Matalas tapping out to do S3. It sounds like Matalas is going to have more freedom to do "his Star Trek" for S3, and he'll be around for all of it.
.
He already did.

I'm not so sure. Worf was more gung ho about so called Klingons traditions more than Martok was in DS9's season 7. I don't think Worf really got it the last time we saw him. I don't think he was truly over the trauma of the Khitomer Massacre in Nemesis.
Good grief. At least in These Are the Voyages the Enterprise cast were actually in the episode, even if it was a complete disaster. This cast didn’t even get that much.
Could have to do with Prodigy...I think there might be something more going on behind the scenes. In the Ready Room, Akiva Goldsman hinted this isn't the last we'e seen of Agnus and then in Variety (or Hollywood Reporter...I can't remember) he said the anomaly in the finale is foreshadowing something but not necessarily linked to season 3 of Picard...we know other spin-offs are in the works and possibly even a big crossover event.
