Spoilers Can we itemize PIC S2 canonical mistakes.

Yes it was. TMP laid down groundwork for what the Klingons would be until Enterprise. Sure there were subtle changes after TMP but not on the scale of Discovery. I mean they freaking changed their skulls to look like the Alien Queen for gods sake......:guffaw:.
And? They're just repeating history.

Star Trek got through the TMP changes, it will get through the Discovery changes.

There were huge changes. Don't accept what change and deny another. It's the exact same thing if you go from TOS to TMP and then to TSFS.

They become bumpy headed alien freaks.

Also, skulls can be changed. Humans do it.

Besides they mostly got rid of the bigger skulls in Season 2. Any Klingon with a full head of hair didn't have a large skull.

Tell that to novelists. Or any writer of a fantasy series.

Giving a shit about "connecting the dots" is what separates the wheat from the chaff in terms of a serialized show having nuance, depth and memorable character and world building.
I'm more than happy to tell them so. Usually dot connection is the province of tie in media writers, not ones who create original fiction.
I said often, not always. Continuity is usually a good thing, but a writer should know when to cut the chaff from the wheat. A fair amount of continuity is chaff. ( to borrow your metaphor). More than one great novelist has overwritten their character's continuity either through design or forgetfulness. (Just where was Watson's war wound?)

I also don't see this as a particularly negative thread. I think the expectation of silence from those who would disagree with the OP's premise was unreasonable.

Maybe the OP can seek anti-Picard videos to get instances of continuity "errors". I can understand why that might feel like plagiarism or something, but it would be a source that aligns with the interest of collecting errors to decry the show.

In the interest of trying to be helpful though, here are more "errors":

Martok's skull's ridges don't match the Martok from DS9
Seven of Nine doesn't wear a catsuit anymore even though it was required, maybe?
Seven was only shown to be interested in Chakotay, and so how can she be involved with Raffi?
The actor who played child Picard isn't the same as the one seen in "Rascals"
Not all Romulans have forehead ridges like they did in TNG/DS9/VGR/ENT
Tallinn's Beta 5 computer sounds and looks different from the one in "Assignment: Earth"

I took it as more of a Great House/caste thing any way. Again, if you study human history, physiology and efforts to change that in the name of _______(fill in the blank cause) what was done with the Klingons is about as unusual as a ladybug with spots on only one wing.

More than one great novelist has overwritten their character's continuity either through design or forgetfulness. (Just where was Watson's war wound?)
Even Tolkien struggled with it, and was frustrated by his son nitpicking him.

The TMP Klingons were a major redesign and could have been even more drastic. As this piece of concept art shows, Some elements seem more at home on DISCO than the other entries of the franchise.

I have to wonder if GR had remained in charge of the film franchise, if this or even something more alien would have been used in later films. As it was later films walked back some elements such as the teeth and spinelike crest. By the time of TUC you had to squint to the ridges on some characters*. Roddnberry did bring back the gnarly teeth in TNG,

* I kid, but some had rather small ridges.

Seriously? The kid is probably in his forties now.
I mean it's not a reasonable criticism, but it does align with complaints about how 2024 Guinan should look like 1893 Guinan (early 1990s Whoopi Goldberg) and not some other actor.

Yeah I already mentioned how they "retconned" the retcon and tried to make them a bit more like the previous bumpy heads....

And the augment virus retconned the TMP look rather than "they always looked like that."

If Discovery doesn't get a free pass then neither does TMP, in my opinion. Consistency shouldn't just be demanded of fictional shows after all.
Or should she remember Picard from San Francisco?
She should not.

With all that back story about the genocide of her people and her becoming a refugee hopefully they hint at that.

So far they are really focused on the bar tender part.
