In case anyone not familiar with the comics version of Jane Foster is interested Marvel has posted a "You Don't Know Jane Foster?" video that covers her history from her introduction through her current status as Valkyrie in about 4 minutes.

And it looks like I was right about the Mighty Thor being the real-world name for her version of Thor. In the video the narrator refers to Odinson simply as Thor, and her as The Might Thor.
Thanks!

I had TOTALLY forgotten about Thor's alter ego on earth. It doesn't exist in the MCU.

Thor was originally like Captain Marvel. He inhabited Don Blake's body when Blake summoned the power of Thor. Thor was a different entity but each individual retained memories of the other. I was never an avid reader, so I am not sure about the details like what Thor was doing when he wasn't summoned by Blake or even when Asgard was introduced as an actual place. For that matter, I don't know if Blake ever visited Asgard while he was not channelling Thor. Did the two every meet as separate individuals?

EDIT: Just answered my own questions with a quick Wikipedia search. Donald Blake WAS Thor after he was banished to Earth by Odin to learn humility.

Did they ever come up with a (for lack of a better term) codename for Jane? I mean besides meta appellation 'Lady Thor'? (Which I tend to view as analogous to "Spider-Gwen", who is actually Spider-Woman in-universe, but known to the readers--and only to the reader--as the former, for simple ease of reference.)
Just seems odd considering that Thor Odinson is his actual name, not a title. Plus if I recall the wording of Odin's incantation correctly it's; "Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” not "...shall be Thor"

I guess they could repurpose "Thunderstrike" for her? I mean it's better than "Beta Ray Jane" or "Throj".

(Disclaimer; this is simply a comment on semantics, I have no problem with the character of "Jane Foster + meyu-meyu = Lighting Xena" as a concept.)
I‘m amazed this title wasn’t held by Jackson‘s LOTR/Hobbit movies somehow?
How many Orcs, Hobbits, Dwarves and Elves did they have on set?
Probably not as many as you might think. In the big crowd scenes only those up front near the camera are likely to be wearing full prosthetics. Background players generally only have pull down silicone rubber masks, and large crowds (anything over a dozen or three) are mostly going to be of the digital persuasion. That's just for the Orks. Most of the elves in the battle scenes that weren't CG probably didn't even have prosthetic ears on, thanks to a cunning use of helmets and wigs.

She wasn't as first. When Thor accepted that he was unworthy of bearing Mew-Mew anymore he gave the name to her and just called himself Odinson.

Is Jane Foster still a Valkyrie in the comics? I haven't seen her mentioned in any of the solicits or articles I've read lately.

Her codename is Valkyrie now. She and Runa (based on Tessa Thompson's character from Thor Ragnarok) were in the series The Mighty Valkyries last year. Not sure what they're up to right this second.

The 'Werewolf By Night' TVM might be introducing Elsa Bloodstone to the MCU. If it does I'd imagine she'll be a lot less sweary then in the comics.

Oh, OK, for some reason I was thinking The Mighty Valkyries came out a longer ago than last year.
Alaqua Cox hints that the beginning of production on Echo is imminent. It would seem that the Marvel secrecy engine is at full force as ever, as next to nothing about this series has actually been confirmed.

I hope the Graham Green rumor is true, he's a great actor.
