That’s a great explanation. Unfortunately in the 50+ years Star Trek has been in existence, that has never once been mentioned on screen, or any explanation given for seeing the same group of Klingons each time.

It's a bit of both I think. From what I've read changing the Klingon look was Bryan Fuller's idea back when he was developing Discovery. Something like this would have had to be discussed with/signed off on by Alex Kurtzman, head Trek producer.
That can't really work as Kol and Kol-Sha are from the House of Kor and when Kor is cured from the Augment Virus, he should then end up looking like them, not like TNG-style Klingons.
With the heavy-handedness of Laris and Picard being thrown in this season, I wonder if her and Beverly will ineract in S3
THIS! I completely agree. The TNG movies always felt forced, because it was way too soon to make the leap to the big screen. Generations was a disaster that ruined great closures of not one, but TWO series. The rest were meh. I wish they had left off with All Good Things.

Klingon Houses aren't monolithic biological family units - Worf joined House of Martok.
They're more like Mafia families or Drag houses. The Kor who meets Kirk doesn't have to be related to Kol or the Kor after whom the house is named.

I simultaneously thing that All Good things was a perfect end but also love Generations and First Contact (the latter being possibly the best Trek movie) so am a bit torn. The last 2 movies are definitely shite though
It would be epic if they ended the season with one final group photo, with the cinematic camera slowly lifting away.
