LeClerc's spleen was in a box nearby. Perhaps they repaired it and put it back inside his body before returning him to his car?
Either that, or I suppose he could be treated with appropriate meds from La Sirena's medkit so he wouldn't suffer further infections.

About Tallinn...obviously she isn't actually Laris (just the same actress) but I wonder if her name has any significance. The real Tallinn is a city in Estonia. I wonder what possible connection there could be.
Typically people without spleens are given vaccines against specific bacteria with capsules (Meningococcus, Pneumococcus, Haemophilus). People mostly do fine without a spleen, but need to be careful if they develop certain bacterial infections like Salmonella.

I don't think Neil was overtly depressed all the time. He was just a humble, regular guy who didn't particularly care for the limelight. And contrary to popular belief, he was NOT a recluse or anything like that.

I don't think they are all genetically engineered. Just knowing how things work in this show I don't think they put in that weird exchange about the mother for nothing.
We never say Shannon O'Donnell we just saw the story Janeway was telling. Edit: we get a picture of a very old O'Donnell.
