Yep and in TNG they alternated between Red and Gold many times for the helm and the Conn positions.

Data was always wearing gold when he was at the Conn in TNG.

And if they stick to the arrangements they had in season 2 of Star Trek Discovery, number one will be at the Navigatior position; and unless they change her uniform color she'll be in gold.

SInce Ortegas is basically the new helmsman of the Enterprise, I wonder what Number One (Una Chin-Riley)'s role besides first officer will be. Basically where she's going to sit. lol.

In TOS shuttle camera is much closer and it looks narrow. In SNW shuttle camera is much further back and the gap between chairs/seating positions is much wider. Almost like 70% wider. I used a ruler.

IN TOS shuttle kirk/spock can touch each other without leaning out with their fingertips.

    in SNG that is impossible.

Also the SNW shuttle seems to have a higher ceiling although it supposed to be flatter.

The Tholian ship looks similar to the Tholian Amethyst class from Klingon Academy. It was blue though and didn't spin around.

She's the Mariner of Strange New Worlds.

I think that this is a good fit.

    Finally caught the first ep
Not much to go by her character yet, though she seems convincing as a young somewhat cocky but reliable helms.

The smirk, the smart-assery, the confidence. She seems like a really fun character so far.

If there were more then 10 episodes, I could see them doing a story where her over-confidence gets her and the ship into trouble. They might still do it, we had a major character building episode for Uhura this week. Hoping they explore each character as much.
