    June Solicits are out.

    - Dark Crisis proper begins with - surprise, surprise - the legacy heroes forming a new Justice League. And the death of the former JL still doesn't affect the other titles.
    - There's also a Dark Crisis (just realized the abbrevation of that title, and now I feel dumb for not seeing it before) tie-in mini-series starring Young Justice.
    - While there's no Shazam book anymore, Black Adam gets his own series by writer Christopher Priest. Sounds interesting, but this looks like a new ongoing title, and I'm not sure I'm up for that. Maybe I'll trade-wait this one.
    - Nubia gets another mini-series. Why didn't they give her an ongoing title to begin with? To sucker in people like me, I guess.
    - Poison Ivy also gets her own mini-series, but it's spinning out of events in the regular Bat-titles, so I'm not buying in.
    - New DC Pride anthology one-shot, and this year they get to include Jon Kent and Tim Drake. Also Nicole Maines writes an intro and apparently gives info on a Dreamer project she's working on. Yep, they get ten bucks for that from me.
    - They also collect the Tim Drake coming-out story from the Urban Legends anthology, which I'm gonna get.
    - Multiversity: Teen Justice, new six-issue mini. Piques my interest, but I'm probably gonna trade-wait it.
    - New 3-issue prestige mini starring The Flash and Aquaman, which certainly doesn't have anything to do with those two having movies coming up. Oh, well, three issues ain't much of a commitment, so I guess I'm in.
    - Milestones in History oneshot, I think that's a re-solicit as it was supposed to come out in February, but didn't.
    - Action continues with the Warworld saga, plus a back-up starring Lois Lane and John Henry Irons, which I'm totally here for.
    - Oh, hey, The Flash #783 is actually a Dark Crisis tie-in. But according to the synopsis, Barry Allen is missing, not dead? Is this Death of the JL thing a big fake-out? I mean, even before the inevitable return.

I wonder what's happened to the Green Lantern series? Haven't read #12 yet, though.

For me, June offers six books:

    Dark Crisis
    Aquamen
    Superman
    Action Comics
    Swamp Thing
    JL vs LSH

Green Lantern ended when Johns’ run finished for me. I figured that it couldn’t get any better than this and just stopped. :)

From the new solicits, Black Adam seems interesting, I'll give that a try (hopefully it doesn't require having read Bendis' Justice League run).

Nope. My work computer is a pain. They block Memory Alpha and Beta, IMDB, Daily Motion, Comic Book Previews...I'm luck I can still post on here.

Not only does it require reading Bendis' run, it requires you to like it.

I keep hearing bad things about the Bendis stuff. Should have stuck with Ultimate Spider-Man

If that was the case, no one could read it :techman:

Its a solo Black Adam book by Christopher Priest, and his quote I can find about it make it clear that its his own project, not a Bendis JL spinoff. if it even mentions Bendis' league I'll be surprised.

I might get Black Adam in trade later just because Priest, Poison Ivy because Wilson, the current Nightwing run because Taylor (minus the issue guest starring Jon Kent that I already have), Monkey Prince because Yang and BATMAN: THE KNIGHT because Zdarsky...plus continue to get FABLES in trade as I have been slowly for many years now.

    July Solicits are out.

Dark Crisis is finally starting to have an effect on at least some of the regular titles. From what I've heard, it was the same issue as in previous years with these big event crossovers, chief editorial keeping things so close to their collective chest they didn't fill in the editors and writers of the solo books. I mean, figures, how else can you explain Wonder Woman just having returned from the dead just at the end of last year, now going to die again?

    Other notes:

    - "Dark Crisis - World Without a Justice League: Superman" #1, now they don't say what it is, but I'm guessing it'll be a series of one-shots dealing with the void each of the dead Leaguers leave behind.
    - Black Adam's solo book just started, and already it has a Hawkman one-shot spinning out of it. Or DC is just trying to cash in on Hawkman's appearance in the Black Adam movie, and were caught off-guard by the film's delay. Maybe gonna pick that one up, depending on how much else I'm gonna spend that month.
    - Artemis one-shot spinning off of "Trials of the Amazons". Probably gonna pick that up.
    - "DC: Mech", another Elseworld mini-series. Eh, probably not.
    - Greg Weisman-penned YJ-tie in mini-series to the animated show. Might trade-wait on that one, as I haven't even caught up with the cartoon.
    - The aforementioned "Superman: Space Age" by Mark Russell & Mike Allred is, if I wasn't clear enough before, as good as bought.
    - Man, White Knight sure has a long wind, yet another sequel/spin-off starring that version of Red Hood. As I haven't read anything White Knight yet, I'm gonna say no to this, too.
    - Batman: Urban Legends #17 features team-ups with Aquaman, the Flash and Black Adam, to celebrate the DC movies of the year. Whoops!
    - DC vs Vampires apparently needed a six-issue spin-off. No thanks.
    - Dreamer debuts in the DCU proper in Son of Kal-El, co-written by Nicole Maines. Looking forward to that.

Still no new Green Lantern, though Bleeding Cool has circulated some gossip about big plans for a follow-up John Stewart series.

DC always does that, and it never makes sense. They either don't trust other writers not to leak things, which is stupid, or their plans for the various events are so nebulous that by the time they set things in stone it would be too late to warn the other comic writers anyway. You'd think, in a well run comic company, any writers working on a comic would be warned about status quo changes that could effect their comic months in advance, to let them either plan ahead or end things on their own terms. But, DC seems to really hate making solid plans and sticking to them, while also not caring about screwing over writers.

I believe this is a tie-in leading up to the movie set in the DCEU and has nothing to do with the Black Adam comic.

Okay. Hadn't occurred to me, but it would make sense. Would have helped to get some cover art to make that clear.
