If you can give me more time in the day then by all means it will change my mind.Seems a bit short-sighted from my perspective. But, you do you.

You should've watched Hell on Wheels.
There is. And if Strange New Worlds doesn't grab for episode 1 then I'll move on. No sense in wasting time. Haven't with Picard since Episode 1.
Anger need not be involved if you don't want to watch a tv show.

Between seeing clients. Can't watch Trek at work.Spend an awful lot of time posting here.![]()
Right now, anger is involved.Cool. I gave up on Picard S1 after about four eps and DIS after about the fourth of fifth ep of S3. I realized I was making myself watch them out of some sense of trekobligation and wasn't really enjoying myself. So I stopped. Anger need not be involved if you don't want to watch a tv show.
So far, Picard season two is a marked improvement over season one.
But everyone saying "it's too soon!" is smoking the wrong stuff. Writer's guides are not canon.
I really don't see the cause for anger. Be mad at what you see on the screen, not a casting announcement made 2 years in advance about something that could take shape in ways none of us imagined.Right now, anger is involved.
Like I said, I'll be mad for a while

Star Trek isn't worth it.

Great, great show. I now have Cullen Bohannon as an ancestor of Pike.![]()
That's fine. I'm still mad.I really don't see the cause for anger. Be mad at what you see on the screen, not a casting announcement made 2 years in advance about something that could take shape in ways none of us imagined.
Not ready yet.Hey, take some advice from this guy in another thread:
Kirk was the youngest captain in TOS lore before the Kelvin movie came along and moved things back. And in the TOS timeframe he probably joined Starfleet at 17 instead of 22. That's 5 more years of grinding.Yeah, but I'm not really going by canon, I'm going by common sense. Kirk got a pass in the Abrams films because he ended up saving Earth and the Federation from a unique threat. Beating the same drums in SNW is going to come across as really unimaginative.
Is it any good? Normally the only Westerns I like are from the 70s.

Is that what is? I thought it was just a railroad show?Great show, set post-US Civil War about building the railroad across the country.
I love it to death. It's a great showcase of Mount's lead acting talent, and his co-star was Colm Meaney, who was also awesome in it (playing a crooked railroad baron loosely based on a historical figure). I don't know what your options for watching it in Germany would be...it had been on Netflix in the US for years and years, but recently left there. It's purchasable on iTunes here.I don't know if that show ever even aired in Germany. Whereas the MARVEL stuff is everywhere!

It is essentially about the towns that pop up at various spots as the railroad moves West.
Salt Vampires rock!!!!If I judged every Trek by episode one, I'd likely only be watching TOS now.
