Spoilers SNW Teaser YANKED!

I was not a fan of those lights, or any strip of random white lights that look like windows, which seems to be a thing in modern ship design (across eras). The ones that look like windows (might actually be windows?) on the Inquiry class bug me too.

Love that shuttle!
Boy Howdy. I like the update to the design of the Frame of the shuttle (Some might think its too much of a change, not me), and I like how it keeps the hull panelling scene in modern Trek, and some other design elements of the Enterprise we are going to have. But I also like that the color scheme seems lighter. A bit closer to TOS.

I really approve. Can't wait to see it in more detail.

I really don't mind it on a ship we've never seen, even if it is overkill as far as lighting. The TMP refit did the lighting of registry and name pretty well with minimal lights.

My only question, why still with the wind turbines?

Yeah, I agree. I was more just thinking that wind turbines would be my least-preferred renewable (due to sound, bird impacts, initial construction and repair difficulties). But maybe in the actual show we will see solar or other types as well. Though I don't expect any explanation to be voiced as to why Pike chose wind or not others, it is an interesting thought experiment.

Or could be relics from the past.
Dude has a rotary phone.

And it looks like they fixed that bridge window, so it's just a window now and not a weird window in a strange empty space with a glass shell.

EDIT: The impulse engines appear to have shrunk, too.
The engines are the same size. yes this is the Anovos model, but it was built using the Discovery assets. And you can see the glass shell you mentioned in the image you quoted

I'm not sure what I'm looking at. So the dome has the bridge, which is set inside the dome, which has a window that views into a larger room(?!), still in the dome, that has its own big window, and also a row of windows underneath? So this ship has THREE bridge windows?

From a design standpoint, that's a really cool feature! What a place to entertain ambassadors and whatnot. However, it's a bit jarring that the historically simplest bridge module is now something so wildly unique.

Just wondering..........do we KNOW if this starts PRIOR to the events in Disco S2 or after?
The SNW costumes were on display on the Star Trek Cruise and they were labelled as being from 2259. So 2-3 years later.

but the window area has definitely changed
You're right, I tried matching the camera angle in STO. The window used to reach the top dome, but now it stops before.

It might also be wider, but that could be the angle
