Clearly, someone needs cat-petting lessons. Cat 1 has made it perfectly clear that he does NOT want belly rubs, and yet human insists on trying it and even makes the total-rookie-error of attempting to touch toe beans. Just---no. Cat 2 is over there saying, "Hey, I would like pets," and yet he's left hanging, all alone, to knead on his pillow.

Sadly, Harry (who I never got to met) has passed after being diagnosed with an inoperable tumour.

My sister who's had a number of health issues in recent years and found great comfort in her cats is understandably devastated.
*HUGS*

So I haven't been on for however long because Buddy ended up being hospitalized again after the internal medicine vet did some tests. He's got inflammation all through his gut, which affected his kidneys. They had to put a feeding tube in him because his liver has gotten messed up from not eating. He was finally stable enough to bring home on Friday night.

Since then, I've been dealing with a ton of meds for him and feeding him 4 times a day. He's so weak it breaks my heart. And of course, he can't understand why we're doing this to him, so he looks at me like I'm horrible.

I'm so scared. He's been my constant companion for 14 years.

He has a follow-up with the vet on Thursday morning. My husband and I have decided that if he isn't getting better, we're not going to keep subjecting him to this.

Prayers, hugs, whatever gratefully accepted. I'm a big damn mess. :(
