You could be right.
The Sovereign style deflector and the glowing blue rim on the top of the saucer give it away.
If it was an Andromeda the deflector would look like the Sutherland's.

I think it's pretty clear Picard was meant to have failed here. He sat by passively while a firefight broke out on the bridge, and missed the obvious cues that the Borg Queen was not hostile (only firing once fired upon, and only stunning). Seven's admonishment that Picard should blow up the ship should not have been listened to.
She was forcibly taking over their fleet, I don't know if we can assume peaceful intent. She merely wasn't lethal and didn't assimilate anyone.

Yep looks like someone with a better eye beat me to it, definitely cool to see!

is she much younger, though? Romulans age at a much slower pace, she could be 100 for all we know.

True, but I also thought they have just played her as if she were decisively younger. There's all that banter in season one about him being old, she's often cast in the caregiver role in relation to him, helping him out with stuff he's a little too old to be on top of himself, that whole thing.

Did I miss something? It was mentioned in this episode that Starfleet had seriously hobbled the Borg in their last encounter. When did THAT happen? Are they perhaps referring to the final episode of VOY when the Voyager had wrecked the Borg transwarp network?

Yeah I took it to be referring to Endgame. They've implicitly not been a threat the whole time they've been studying the Artefact.

Well, I don't comment on here often, but that's the best episode of Star Trek i've seen since the 1990's.

I wasn't keen on season 1 of Picard overall, and discovery is missing something, it's average at best. That Episode of Picard that i've just watched just absolutely smashed it, the bar is now set high, really high.

That was pretty epic!

True! Though the Artifact was created when a Borg cube tried to assimilate the Tal Shiar vessel the Shaenor sometime after Endgame’s 2378, in the 2380s, according to the events of Picard Season 1.

So the Borg were still out there after the events of Endgame, though it would seem their power was significantly diminished.
