Not true.

The only "New Earth" we know anything about is the planet where Janeway and Chakotay were marooned in VOY's "Resolutions". There is no such planet in DSC.

And these "leaked documents" you speak of? Show us, or they don't exist.

The documents were shared by Captain Xavi of Earth in April 2020. It was a departmental e-mail in which the setting for Starfleet Academy was mentioned as being set on New Earth... It didn't make any sense then. We'll see if it makes sense now.

Ok my hypothesis- Burnham has this role arbitrating between planets. Either earth gets destroyed or Ni’var. She picks the Federation member. Mike drop.

IDK about any planets getting destroyed or seriously damaged in the end, but the new level of peace and understanding between President Rillak and Captain Burnham makes me think the President won't survive.
i hope she does: I really like what they are doing with her. And just because they finally reach on the current issues doesn’t mean she won’t throw burnham under the bus in future situations: she’s a cunning politician after all.

I think I got it. Starfleet Command gets destroyed, though most everyone manages to evacuate except for Admiral Vance who stays behind to die the noble death because drama. Starfleet reestablishes its HQ on Earth, which has once again been readmitted into the Federation and the newly promoted Admiral Michael Burnham takes over as head of Starfleet.

I'm still not happy about Burnham commanding a single ship, never mind being in command of Starfleet itself. But I very much suspect that's where the show will end up. That, or her becoming President of the Federation.

In 1000 years the idea that a targeting computer might make an error will be as absurd as a pocket calculator failing to do a simple addiction.

Damn junkie calculators...

I hope I live long enough to see a new, fairer society emerging.

According to Star Trek we have to get through sanctuary districts, WW3 and the post-atomic horror first...
Does any one have the number of one of those cryogenic facilities with their own spaceships?
