    Delivery!

Because I don’t keep ships on their stands, working with the USS Nog provides a challenge. I used sharp pliers to try and cut of the stand itself and the trunk-like part that envelops the lowermost part of the hull. But the plastic is rigid and broke awkwardly.

Nevertheless, it worked, and the nacelles are now glued to the ‘pylons’ which itself is glued to the ship, so the Nog can be whooshed around with one hand.

I’m looking forward to the Courage class and USS Dresselhaus, which lack detached components.

Says 14 April release date. That’s a long way off, even when not counting delays.

Either way, I’m looking forward to the Vancouver. For now, I have a 5-inch model from GamePrint.

Interesting news on the Eaglemoss shipment front (at least in CONUS):
They seem to stand up a new warehouse about every other year. I guess it's that time again. When this happens, shipments drop off substantially but eventually bounce back.

Star Trek universe went once every two months for me but it has been longer than that. I would be angry if I was fussed about it. :)

Mat Dawson posted in the Facebook group, he called US customer support to skip an issue in his ST Universe sub because he got it off the Webshop already. He was told Eaglemoss has stopped skipping because it causes delays with further issues.

Meanwhile, I emailed to cancel my Universe sub. Thanks to the Webshop, I can stay up to date with releases, and be picky. I bought the XL Discovery-A and skipped the regular version.

    Not Star Trek but Sci-Fi:
Izo Iscariot posted that a TRON light cycle collection is being launched. Issue #1 is the blue Light Cycle (1st gen) from the 1982 movie: https://shop.eaglemoss.com/hero-collector/tron-light-cycle-1st-generation-1
    £49.99 UK, US$ 54.99
Other colors are planned, including Orange.

Meanwhile, I've ordered the Brotherhood of Steel airship USS Prydwen and its Vertibird from the Fallout series. I've not seen anyone posting pictures of them in the Facebook group. I've recently become a fan of The Outer Worlds spinoff. Having ships from that game would be cool.

I have a vague recollection of light cycle toys back when the original Tron came out. I’ll have to look that up…

Edit: Yep! Here they are. Vintage 1981.

    Me too!
Also yellow. Coolest thing ever. Learned only years later it was from "Tron".

The saucer looks thicker than on the regular EM model, but still thinner than on the original studio model...

They've gotta stop using Doug's awfully inacurrate rushjob CG as the basis for their Stargazers.
