News Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum all return for Jurassic World 3!

I'm not surprised. Disappointing but not a surprise. Like all of the film delays. :wah:

Edited to add: I love this poster design. I'm shocked they haven't done this sooner.

Excuse me while I die of hype overload.
I know a lot of people don't care for the JW movies, but this is like my Infinity War.
That was actually cooler than I expected to see the whole gang, or make that both gangs, together for the first time.

I never saw the 2nd (or 5th?) movie, but that wasn't a knock or a judgment against it, I just never saw it. But now I want to because I have to see the 3rd (6th?) one.

I think the next time this franchise is visited, and we all know it will be, it would probably be best for a straight-up franchise reboot rather than a continuation. I mean, where do you go from here? Dinosaurs in space?

So I know dinosaurs are warm blooded, but I'm not sure they are adapted for winter conditions.

This is one of those things where I ignore the logic of it because it just looks cool. I've always loved illustrations of dinosaurs in the snow. There's just something magical about it.

This. The Jurassic Park/World movies need a huge amount of suspension of disbelieve. Especially the World ones. But they are just so much fun. And eye candy. DINOSAURS!!!!

"Bigger. Why do they always have to go bigger?"

Dare I hope? That it'll actually be good this time?

If nothing else, Ellie does the thing with her shades!

I've always been a massive dinosaur ran but I've been disappointed with each film. They are still fun, I'll give them that, but with far too much stupidity (both in character decisions and plotting). I know I'm not supposed to ovethink them but I'm a massive Crichton fan and I just wish the films (at least after the second one) actually put the same kind of into them as he did.

You make that sound like a bad thing! It worked for Doctor Who and Star Trek. :D

Yeah, I had the same knee-jerk reaction but I guess it can be handwaved in the same way lack of feathers and colors (aside from the gorgeous Pteranodon!) are also ignored.

But as Mage says, it does look damn cool. Just like our heroes in snow in War for the Planet of the Apes.

The hard part for me now is to avoid all future marketing until release. The previous two put practically the whole movie in the trailers. I'm hoping they haven't done that here since it already feels like we've seen so much.

I wonder if and how this will tie into Camp Cretaceous. Some have speculated that the snow and swamp environments we see here are the same as the simulated biomes in CC season 4.

Damn, I completely forgot about that show. I meant to check it out...and now it's on its fourth season?!

Yeah, the first four are all out now. The fourth season introduces some more sci-fi elements that a lot of people weren't thrilled about, although they're all more plausible than cloning dinosaurs, so I'm not that bothered about it since I really enjoy the show.

The Jurassic Park islands get destroyed due to a volcano. Some of the dinosaurs being transported off the island are going to rich buyers.

Bad guys get defeated and the Dinosaurs are now roaming the world.

Alot of people didn't like that movie mainly due to the third act in the mansion but I'll let you judge it

This looks like the ultimate monster movie, which is not the worst direction to take this thing.

Between bringing back the original "Big Three" and actually having a premise that's more interesting than "Go Back to Dinosaur Island Because Reasons," I might actually bother to go see this one.

By the way, for anyone who loves dinosaurs. You should check out the Dinosauria animated shorts on Youtube:

They're gorgeous little vignettes of prehistoric life with some of the most accurate designs ever put to screen.

I was wondering about the cold too, but then it occurred to me that most of the dinosaurs have genetic mutations of one form or another. Perhaps Dr. Wu & Co. cooked up a little something to make the dinos adaptive to the cold.

The dinosaurs are warm blooded, also dinosaurs probably could survive in cold climates. Fossils have been found in both the Arctic and Antarctica, which despite the warmer climate would still reach below freezing temperatures during winter. Since they've found fossils of babies, that means they were there for the entire year.

Also Blue has a baby now. :adore:
