I forgot Neelix's ship was named! But wasn't Chakotay's from a novel?Actually, they did:
Chakotay's ship was the Val Jean, and Neelix's was the Baxial.

Originally, yes, but it made it into canon.
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 450), the ship was named by one of the writers for "Repression" after Jean Valjean, the hero of Les Misérables.
- Zola: from a cut line in VOY: "Parallax".
- Liberty: from Jeri Taylor's novel Pathways.
- Selva: from Susan Wright's novel The Badlands.
- Spartacus: from the novel Quarantine. The novel also stated that Maquis captains frequently changed the names of their ships in order to make it appear that the Maquis had more ships than they actually do. This novel also mentioned this vessel was of the Peregrine-class.
Not everyone is as irrationally attached to their ships as those characters. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but Book's ship is such a unique ship, and is so much a part of who he is as a character and does so much to establish the world of the 32nd Century, that I think it's a real shame it doesn't have a name. It feels like Malcolm Reynolds not bothering to name Serenity, or Han Solo not calling it the Millennium Falcon.
All those names and I didn't know or remember a single oneNot according to the Star Trek Encyclopedia via Memory-Alpha:

Some names the ship had in non-canon and in a deleted scene according to Memory-Alpha:

I have not named my home. The ship is literally his home!
I have not named my home.
I would not name my home under any circumstances. You're not a character on a science fiction franchise where cool ships that primary characters are highly attached to are usually given a name.![]()
I dub your home Charlie.I have not named my home.
I would not name my home under any circumstances.
Seems a little bit formal.Commissioner Gordon won't call you at Stately Fireproof78 Manor?
Not to argue anything, just a funny coincidence: today I was reading that many people in the Basque region of northern Spain do name their homes, and it's an important part of their identities. Just a fun fact.I have not named my home.

With my home being encased in snow right now, I'd probably name it Drafty.![]()
