Spoilers Book of Boba Fett [Spoiler Discussion]

From what I can tell the ring's only like 8 city blocks wide, perhaps a mile and a half, so it could be a hundred times smaller than a Halo ring. At that size maybe you could get away with just using mirrors in the centre.

I just found this video that breaks down what we saw and all the information that was given in the audio descriptions and subtitles.

As I've repeatedly pointed out, you can get dwarf stars that are small enough to suit this. Also: it's Star Wars; there's always room to fudge the astrophysics in service to a cool visual.
Star Wars series onDisney+ makes actual use of real astrophysics principles when it designs ships and mega structures?

That's certainly a change from how the films did it. ;)

Well, Star Wars has long been known for applying real world physics, especially in space travel and calculating distances.

It's worth revisiting this scene from Rebels in regards to the difficulties that Din is having with the darksaber.

Thank you for posting that. I forgot about that, and thought it seemed kind of weird that he was having so much trouble with the Darksaber, when we've already seen people like Sabine, and Pre Vizla handle it with a lot less trouble.

Realism flew the coop the moment you heard weapon fire and explosions in space.

I enjoyed that video, thanks. That said, I think the problem is that if they were doing it with models and actual lighting to do the shadows it would have been more logical. As it was, I feel they just did the CGI to make it look cool without regard to either physics or us nerds that would be analyzing it to death. Could be the old ways had some advantages.

Still, it did look cool and it's good Star Wars, and I love me some Star Wars.

The internet is about to lose it's mind. Again.

Edit: Actually spoke too soon. Having now finished the episode, the internet is going to lose it's mind several times over.

Guest cast galore, and all of it brilliant. A meeting, and not the first it would seem, entirely too long in the making. A choice, whose outcome seems a foregone conclusion but which it was delightful to see offered. That stranger from the desert. Only a little Boba, but stuff getting very, very real on that front. War is upon us, and there would seem to be heroes on both sides.

Are we taking bets on Favreau and Filoni adapting THAT unused Clone Wars concept?

Can it be next Wednesday already, please?
