Strange Star Trek dreams

But in another dream, I was the redshirt. We were on an away mission, and Commander Chakotay told us to stay away from a cave. So I naturally headed right in; I'm an explorer. In the cave I found a blond middle school aged boy, dressed in blue jeans, sneakers, a British red coat from the Revolutionary War, and a matching hat. With his hand in his shirt like Napoleon, the boy smuggly said something I didn't catch. Then out of the darkness come two somewhat toon-y snake eyes: the ones on the title page illustration from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." Then I woke up. Apparently, I was killed by the basilisk!

"Computer, replicate one Sword of Gryffindor!"

I had several…One a new TOS episode I was watching…another a TNG starship festival of fly-bys.

The most recent dream sort of pointed towards a Star Trek future where a shrink-wrap clear coat improved a rocket’s performance seven times somehow.

I was at Michaud Assembly Facility where SLS..stripped of orange foam and painted white was about to get a coat. Musk was talking about it…and I was there with Bill Nye, Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson…I was hearing them talk about how this would change everything in spaceflight…and my %#}^ bladder woke me up. I was literally in tears from that one. “No…no…”

Dreams are cruel things.

They make you see the deaths of living relatives, or see living images of dead ones.
The worst get your hopes up and dash them.

A week ago I had one but all I remember was seeing a Borg cube flying towards a planet and hearing a Borg version of the Imperial March playing

God, I feel your pain! For me, I frequently dream an exhilarating story, then wake up before I can finish it.

I once had a dream I was being chased around a creepy old castle by Chakotay, he had an Egg for a head.

I had a STNG related dream last night. It didn't have a plot and it didn't make any sense. I'm not sure everything I will write here actually happened in the dream but this is what I remember.

I was on the bridge of Enterprise-D. It was darker than the bridge usually is and the bridge was a little bit smaller than it usually is. The viewscreen was dropping small ice cubes. There might have been some steam too coming from the sides of the screen? The emergency turbolift to the battle bridge opened and I think I remember that at least Dr Crusher was there and perhaps Tasha Yar? Maybe some other crew members too. Next I was sitting on the captain's chair. On my right Riker was on his seat. To my left Picard was sitting where counselor usually sits. Then there was some green(?) dude on screen and it looked like he was from a video game from the 80s. All that happened in about a minute or less or that's how it feels right now thinking about it.

That sounds like a wicked trip of a dream! The viewscreen dropping ice cubes like popcorn, while also steaming....that feels like an image out of "the Orville," and I love it!

So, can we deduce from this you were some evil admiral that somehow wrecked the ship? (After all, why else would Picard defer the captain's seat to you, and according to my feeble knowledge of TNG, the ENT-D viewscreen is not supposed to drop ice cubicles and give off steam).

Can't wait if there will be a sequel.

Are you suggesting an evil Admiral could find his way to the flagship? :)

I once dreamed of the scene where Ilia was in the sonic shower (get your mind out of the gutter), but when Kirk opens it, it's revealed the entire Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a dream and the original movie era actually started with The Wrath Of Khan.

I had an awesome dream the other night that wasn't actually a Star Trek dream, but it had both Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Patrick Stewart as Professor X in the MCU debut of the X-Men, so I decided to share with you guys the plot of the film:

Marvel's THE X-MEN

The film opens with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) meditating on the roof of the Sanctum Sanctorum building, when suddenly he detects a presence, a "like mind to my own". He flies down to Greenwich Village where a man, who is obviously Logan pre-Wolverine, is making a public scene by brawling with police officers. Strange attempts to apprehend Logan, all the while knowing that Logan isn't the presence he has detected, when suddenly everyone freezes, except Strange. Strange is confused at first but sees one other person who is navigating his way through the crowd in a floating yellow hover chair: the man introduces himself as Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) who has come to Greenwich because he detected Logan's mutant genes using Cerebro, and has come to take him into his custody. Xavier explains that he uses a powerful computer called Cerebro to detect fellow mutants and that he himself is a mutant. Strange, while still somewhat confused, allows Xavier to "keep an eye on Logan" (Logan doesn't make any further appearances in the film).

The film then transitions to the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. It is made obvious that the mansion is a different one from the Fox films. We see a young Jean Grey enter the house and formally request Xavier to take her in, as she has run away from home. Afterwards, while Henry Jackman's theme from X-Men First Class plays and we are introduced to the X-Men proper, Professor X delivers a voice over monologue: "My name is Charles Xavier. I am a mutant, an evolved member of the human race with special gifts of telepathy and psychic powers. Each mutant has their own gifts, which is why I have taken it upon myself to open a school for young mutants to help teach them how to best control and live with their gifts. From among these students I have also selected a special few who possess unique attributes which I am attempting to hone, in the hopes that they can defend the common interests of peaceful relations between humans and mutants: Scott Summers, codename Cyclops, a natural born leader whose eyes generate powerful destructive optic blasts; Hank McCoy, codename Beast, whose monstrous form and massive hands and feet belie a brilliant mind and gentle disposition; Bobby Drake, codename Iceman, whose manipulation of the cold can allow him to produce and transfigure himself into solid ice; and Warren Worthington, codename Angel, whose feathered wings provide him with the ability to soar high above the clouds. Alone, they face a world that fears and hates them. But together, they are my X-Men."

The rest of the dream is a bit vague, but I got the impression that the X-Men wore similar outfits to their 60's comic book counterparts, with the yellow vests over navy blue tights and masks. They all looked to be high school age, or at least the same age as Tom Holland's Spider-Man. The character development also depicted Cyclops as being very shy around Jean Grey, hinting at his feelings for her, and although the rest of the team joked with him about it, you got more of a sense of camaraderie among them than in the movies. As for villains, Magneto is nowhere to be seen (yet!) but the Sentinels seem to be the chief antagonists for the X-Men, and both Bolivar Trask and William Stryker make appearances as being the guys behind the scenes pulling the strings. The film's ending is also very vague in my memory, but I do remember the final scene being Jean Grey joining the X-men, with either Beast or Angel joking that she needs to think up a codename.

While I know for sure I had woke up before this could have happened in my dream, I really want to think that the post credits scene would have had Magneto breaking into a Sentinel production facility and reprogramming them to follow his commands.

Over a month ago I had a dream which was Star Trek in a roundabout way. There was that TV show in the late 80s called The Wonder Years which actually aired on ABC but in my dream it aired on FOX and the premise was different. The premise wasn't about someone reminiscing on the past but that Kevin Arnold's consciousness had been sent back in time, a bit like Quantum Leap but more like that show Do Over. Kevin would make references about future events to the bewilderment of people around him. One of the plot threads that was introduced slowly was that people from 1000 years in the future were coming back in time to change the timeline and the way this was executed by the producers was as a pastiche or parody of Star Trek The Next Generation. It was basically meant to be kind of a joke. But then FOX decided they wanted to create their own sci-fi adventure show and decided to spinoff the future events into their own TV series which was derided by people by missing the point of it's creation in the first place. So in some kind of series finale the holographic captain of the ship, who was played by ... dun dun dun ... Robert Picardo, directs the ship into some kind of vortex so that their universe will be separate from The Wonder Years universe. And then, end of season.

I once had a dream I was being chased around a creepy old castle by Chakotay, he had an Egg for a head.

Later on I turned around punched the Egg, it cracked and all the Yolk came out, then he just collapsed onto the floor.

I had a Trek BBS dream, does that count? I dreamed I got into a 1700's style pistol duel with another member (never knew the name). Nobody died, but I remember being upset because they got suspended and I got perma-banned. It was real enough that when I got up this morning, I was half expecting to get the "you do not have permission to post" screen.

Dreams are frickin' weird.
