What kept the VISOR on?

when they melon-balled the face of Icheb, I did not speak up because it was not my favorite minor character's eye socket.. when they replaced the extraordinarily awesome Brian Brophy with that guy from the Oak Ridge Boys, I did not complain because I like the Brophy thread. When they just said "Screw it" and cloned 100 copies of the same star ship like they got all their fx queues from Last Starfighter, it was too late. I meant to add something witty to connect this all together but I kind of painted myself in a corner.
lmao. :D
and the weird thing is that's the second time in two days I've seen that saying mentioned, the first time was in relation to Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog!:lol:

I have to confess, I was prematurely hopeful this topic was about what kept it powered lol

Also, it's a little vague how it stayed on Geordi's head in-universe too. He has slightly protruded, glowing domed implants, that it seems to attach to, via indents in the apparatus, but it's not really said how. Do they just click in place? That would explain why it's so easily knocked off. I'd like to think there's some kind of energy field creating the sensory link that might provide some attachment too

Which Geordi was at times. Let's face it. I know some fans give him slack when he exploded in anger at Scotty but a large part of that was fueled by Geordi's arrogance and belief he was the undisputed king of his hill.

Geordi was my second favorite character on the show after Picard. I think I like him more than most fans. He seemed to be the second most down to earth character after Riker. I also liked his friendship with Data. Many of my most favorite episodes feature him.

Geordi is a very likeable guy with occasional moments of anger where he'll suddenly snap at someone for ruining his Sherlock Holmes holodeck adventure or whatever. But that makes sense I guess seeing as the VISOR leaves him in constant pain.

Yeah...that´s what constant pain does to you. My fiancee has multiple sclerosis and is in constant nerve pain. He sometimes snaps at people for no reason too.

Are we talking about the guy who snapped out and got offended because a woman pointed out to him that it's not nice to use someone's image without their permission to act out sexual fantasies and then feel entitled to replicate them in real life? That "approachable" and "likeable" guy?

...Geordi didn't act out any sexual fantasies. As far as I can recall, the computer made the holographic representation behave a certain way with no guidance/prompting from him; after the crisis was averted, he never revisited the program.
