I was able to pedal the stationary bike at PT all the way around! It hurt, but it's the first time I could bend my knee that much since surgery.
Ever been to the Stinking Rose in San Francisco? EVERYTHING on the menu - up to and including the desserts - is made with garlic. I was on a bus once and we were stopped at a traffic light, like 3 blocks away. They had their door open, and even from that far away, the stench was unbearable. God only knows what it's like actually INSIDE the place.
Garlic is good, but someone I know is on a, 'garlic is a antioxidant and therefore good protection against a Covid breakthrough case', kick, eating the stuff like its going out of style. I don't know about that, but given the dragons breath, I guess in a way it is good protection, it keeps people distant! lol
That sounds like the typical simplified exaggeration that people tend to do with the effects of food. Garlic can help clean your arteries and thus reduce blood pressure, and high blood pressure is one of the health issues making one high risk for Covid. That is probably what your acquaintance heard and is now apparently making their new motto. Of course, you have to consume garlic regularly for at least a few months before it by itself has any significant effect on your blood pressure, and you have to have had high blood pressure before for it to have any meaning in relation to Covid, and even then it's hardly comparable to proper vaccination.
I like garlic, but that just sounds like to much. So apparently something was happening at the high school up the street earlier. When I was on my way home during my bike ride, I went past the school, and there were about 4 or 5 cop cars parked across the street from the school, with about 5 or 6 cops standing around while a team of paramedics took care of what looked like a teenage girl, who was sitting on the corner of the sidewalk across from the school. The fact that there were that many cops hanging around makes me think this was more than a simple medical incident. I couldn't see much with all of the cops and paramedics around her, so I have no idea what kind of shape she was in. But the really interesting thing is that a couple hours later what appeared to be a sheriff's helicopter was circling around, and around the school for quite a while. I guess it could be a coincidence, but it seems hard to believe that the two things aren't related. I have to admit, I did call the dogs in and lock the backdoor until the helicopter was gone.
Thanks @Kai "the spy" I will share your info. Vaxxes are in play, thankfully. It was just an unwarranted extra precaution on her part, not antivax hysteria. Quiet, you!
Per AZ Central: A 14-year-old was arrested on Monday after Surprise police said the teen threatened to shoot up an elementary school. The West Point Elementary School student posted threatening messages to a social media account in part stating, "I will shoot up the school" on Jan. 10, the Surprise Police Department said in a news release.
Yesterday I made golden chicken soup, although it didn’t turn out ‘golden’ because the recipe had 6 cups chicken broth, I only had 4, so I added some beef broth. It ended up tasting good. Only mistakes I think were I didn’t get all the onion skin off and I substituted rice and lentils for the couscous the recipe called for which took longer to absorb water so they didn’t get totally soft. Now have a strip steak marinating in the fridge for tonight.
How is sausage a more popular pizza topping than bacon? That just don't seen right I'm thinking now it must've been cultural, as in Italians got pepperoni & all kinds of sausage, but you don't here a whole lot about Italian bacon
Man, possibly drunk, tries to jump a New York subway turnstile but instead falls head first and dies. His family has been pleading for people to stop sharing the video.
We have a recipe thread. I know it's past the 1-year mark since its last update, but if there is enough interest in the community, I'm OK with resurrecting it.
Thanks. I guess if there was more interest than from just yours truly.... maybe we don't need to resurrect it. I'll just post my occasional bachelorette recipes here.
i'm a bit late on this but me too and my eldest daughter is a lesbian (yep, she prefers this word) - it's just a statistical thing
