NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

This overtime must be nerve wracking for Steelers fans. When the only bad result for you is a tie and a tie is seeming more and more possible.

If the game does result in a tie, how much do we suspect a fix?

Edit: No tie, but close. If it had happened, the thing that happened 1-2 times a year just happened to benefit both teams involved over a 3rd team, big controversy avoided.

Some sources saying Pace is gone from Chicago as well. Still, we have Ted Phillips and the McCaskets, so more mediocrity to follow.

This one kind of surprises me, given how well they played the second half of the season.

I think Tagovailoa’s slow development is what torpedoed him. That and complete meltdowns in the two games they’ve played where they had a shot at the playoffs (Buffalo last year, Tennessee this year).

Stephen Ross is an old man desperate to win before he dies, which means this move likely opens the door for the acquisition of Deshaun Watson.

Flores shouldn't have been fired considering the second half of the season; he'll make somebody else pretty happy.

Tagovailoa's not the answer for the Fins anyway; like Hurts in Philly they're products of Alabama. Miami would have been better sticking with Tannehill - but the Titans are happy for the mistake!

Bringing on Deshaun Watson would be a mistake though.

I read somewhere that he has always started the season slow and came roaring back to come up just short.

Tua was a risk when he was picked, but then they jerked him around with Fitzmagic. Outside of Waddle this year and maybe Gaskin, there really hasn't been infrastructure around him to really give him a chance to succeed. I don't know if he's going to be a superstar, but Miami never bought into him completely.

Speaking of torpedoing, that loss to Jacksonville and a couple close games means the Bills get stuck playing the Patriots in the first round. I have that sneaking suspicion they are going to have trouble.

My predictions being:

Las Vegas vs. Cincinnati - Cincinnati, but would not be surprised if Las Vegas pulls some magic out
New England vs. Buffalo - New England, but I'm cheering for Buffalo
Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay, no doubt
San Francisco vs. Dallas - Dallas, but I'm cheering for San Francisco
Pittsburgh vs. Kansas City - Kansas City, no doubt
Arizona vs. Los Angeles - Los Angeles, this is one of those games that I want both teams to win

Well, the Dolphins did it in back-to-back seasons, where they are 19-14. They were a pretty bare cupboard when Flores arrived and are still struggling with getting offensive talent. I’ve always thought Chris Grier, the GM, was the bigger problem yet has somehow hung onto his job for another go round at hiring a head coach.

Many of these fired coaches were in no-win situations with horrible ownership and/or an empty cupboard.

When you take on one of these roles, you're expected to make chicken salad whether the GM gives you chicken or chicken shit.

Though Joe Judge was clearly in over his head.
