NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

Don’t play that game. You don’t have to play to understand the game.

That explains a lot. Sramble a few yards in their cleats and you might have a different view from your ass looking up.

I do not ignore fuck ups, but most of them are made in the trenches, if you want to groom and build a good QB build the line, that is all that I'm saying.

Coach of the Year: Nick Sirianni, Eagles.

Surprise firing: Kevin Stefanski, Browns.

Broncos just pulled a Bronco. Fumbled in scoring territory, Kansas City picks it up, Drew Lock is right there but apparently doesn't know how to tackle, touchdown KC.

Then not going for the TD with 4 minutes left. Fangio is yet another great coordinator turned shitty head coach.

Broncos are always gonna' find a way to Bronco...and get kicked off like the Bills. But one ring is all that matters in the GM seat.

That's a thing I've argued with other people about, the NFL not having an actual minor league level (unless you count the NFC East ;)).

Some argue that the NFL uses college football as a sort of "free" minor league, but I don't get that assessment. It's not like they can send a player back down to the "minors", the only option is to cut the player. Practice squads are the closest thing, but much more limited.

@Tiny Timby what's your take on this?

The NCAA is absolutely a free minor league for the NFL, and it's a large reason why the NFL is an anti-competitive cartel.

I feel like Harbaugh is gonna stay right where he is. He was not terrible in SF, and ticks the "good HC" box, but Michigan is his place. You never really know of course.

Harbaugh is reportedly incredibly sore with Michigan after being forced to take a $4 million pay cut last year. I feel like his schtick will run thin relatively quickly (again) after grown men tune him out because they're tired of being screamed at, but I imagine he's not happy with his brother having won a Super Bowl and himself just getting blown out last week by Georgia. He's also 58, meaning his time to make another NFL run isn't going to last forever.

Fangio made some cowardly decisions (that field goal, what the fuck), but he was done no favors by having to try to make a season with Drew fuckin' Lock and the broken-down corpse of Teddy Bridgewater under center.

Bengals sitting Mixon (Covid) and Burrow (injury) Sunday. So it'll be Brandon Allen vs. Case Keenum, get your popcorn now!

You were ab-so-lutely correct, it's a third string game--with everyone out--and the announcers suck too.

Not worth the price of the popcorn or the parking fee.
