Without going through Steam of whatever GOG uses.

i agree. I tried the Walking Dead telltale when it came out, and it wasn't bad for what it was. I'm so starved for a decent star trek game I'll probably buy it, even though it's obviously not what a lot of us were really hoping for.
I presume that's a timed exclusive otherwise I won't be playing it.
Is there a problem using the Epic game store?
For me personally, yes. I'd buy from GOG or somewhere but EGS had one chance with me and their CS was awful.

I'd rather not, but it seems like for a lot of games these days you have to go through one of those services. They're even getting the rights to sell old DOS games that the gaming community had considered abandonware, so then the abandonware sites take them down.

Sites like GOG do a good job in not only managing to get permission to legally sell old games but they also tweak and fix said old games so they run on today's modern systems, and to such a good level that the majority of GOG games require nothing but a few clicks of the mouse to install and play, so paying a few quid for a old game you want that will run on a modern pc is actually well worth the cost, and when you support sites like GOG in this manner you help to gain more access to more and more old classic games, so it's a win win for very little layout in my view, i mean if GOG navigate the legal mess that was the Trek Activision library and get it, then no old games are off the table at that point .

And the Ambassador's voice in the trailer is spot on. Almost thought it was recycled archive audio. Wonder who it is? They say more old characters will appear!
