They've said it will have more action and movement than previous TT games. We've already seen third person shooting and movement in the initial trailer.

Also is it really a clone if it's made by a studio made up with former TT employees?

You can make your choice while they're talking. Once they're finished your character will respond.

Found out about this only today, totally snuck up on me. Will be picking this up when it releases, we've been needing a good Star Trek game for years now. STO is very samey since there's only so much they can do with the formula. Hopefully this lives up to its name.

Okay this latest clip is rough. I'm usually not one to harp on graphics/performance much but this is bad enough that it probably should have been held back. Like.. can't you wait a few days and get a new recording without the stutter @ 58s and the insane framedrops during a cutscene around 3:22? The animations aren't lookin' too hot either (that jump..)

Well i had no real interest in this anyway once i heard it was a interactive novel, and this 4 min clip has not changed that........but it will be interesting to see what they are changing for it as the Trek licence is not cheap. Lol

I am surprisingly pleased at the apparent lack of classic starships blowing each other up in this game; it looks to be an actual humanistic alien-diplomacy story for once.

Yeah, usually when releasing promotional clips a studio will pick something more polished. It makes me worried about what state the rest of the game is in.

Trek games have a bad track record in being released with 'bugs' I'd say. We're still in the preview phase though, so we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
