From photos from the proposed Star Trek II photos it appeared the wardrobes had an upgrade, were there indications in the script the Klingons were getting a new wardrobe based on the particular characters sect within the Klingon culture?
Wow, very cool. Thanks for sharing! I love your workGo to the Fan Art forum on this site.

Ryan, you haven't seen these photos of the proposed Star Trek II? There all of this forum. Maybe I gave the impression they were Klingon photos. I'm wondering if there's hint in the script they had a different look?

About 20 years ago (Gods... has it really been that long?) a member of TrekBBS called The God Thing uploaded a bunch of Phase II scripts. Kitumba was among them.
Oh, that rings a bell. I think I might've downloaded the two-part "Kitumba" script at one point or another, but damned if I can find it on my hard drive now.I have the Kitumba script in my Dropbox. Forgot I had the darn thing. I'll have to give it a re-read. I haven't read it since the release of the New Voyages adaptation was released.
And I know I've read at least parts of the "In Thy Image" script. We got to see a scene in Nogura's office where Kirk is forced to admit that he's the most qualified Starship commander available to take over the V'Ger mission, and I thought Kirk's reluctance worked pretty well. He certainly comes off as more sympathetic than he did in TMP. There was a scene of Kirk recruiting McCoy on Earth. McCoy's become a vet and says animals are "the only sensible patients I've ever had."
I would encourage them to do so.
Absolutely. Best part of fan films is the possibilities explored inside the universe.I would encourage them to do so.
I’m almost certain they don’t.There is a site selling digital copies of the script, about $8 each for parts 1 and 2 separately. But I don't know if they have the proper clearances to be doing that.

Because it limits your options.I wouldn't. Why wouldn't they want their film/show to fit into the larger Star Trek universe? It doesn't diminish the 60s feel at all for me when they acknowledge that stuff was made later.
IMO, the finest effort of New Voyages/Phase II is "To Serve All My Days," a daring sequel to "The Deadly Years" written by D. C. Fontana that absolutely contradicts what came later in canon. It makes one wonder what cries of foul would issue should a fan film deliberately contradict what came later. Hell I do it all the time with my pre TOS ship designs that deliberately ignore everything thats been seen in post TOS productions.![]()
Because it limits your options.
Or, you may want to go ahead make the kind of film you want to make.If setting your fan film in the Star Trek universe limits your options, you may want to make a non-Star Trek film.
Indeed.Or, you may want to go ahead make the kind of film you want to make.
Of course it limits your options. Every box limits your options. Maintaining fidelity to hundreds of hours of what's gone before limits things a lot. Some people want to make fanfilms based on a particular show as a lauchpad, and don't wish to be hemmed in by what a later show decided. If setting your fan film in the Star Trek universe limits your options, you may want to make a non-Star Trek film.
The entire point of fan fiction is that you can do anything you want. And as long as they're not using it as an excuse to make money from Trek, more power to them.If setting your fan film in the Star Trek universe limits your options, you may want to make a non-Star Trek film.
