The Peter Cushing movies were released on blu-ray by Kino Lorber about a year ago. Reportedly, the picture quality is quite good. I meant to get them at the time, but didn't get around to it until now. So I'll be watching this weekend.

So actually I didn't get to watch these back when I originally posted this.
I finally got around to the first one, "Dr. Who and the Daleks." Yes, the picture quality was quite nice. Other than that, it was a little too silly for me. Story and characterization felt dumbed-down. And that cheap-o TARDIS interior...

Now I'm watching "The Hand of Fear."

Remember that moment when the Doctor has ducked into the TARDIS and the demat wheezing starts? Sarah bangs on the doors, shouting past them that the Brigadier needs his help. What if the Doctor actually DID fly off to have a post regenerative crisis adventure and returned to the next Planck interval? From Sarah's perspective, the Doctor never left!

I do intend to rewatch it when I'm done with this Blu Ray set (I've been watching the Tom Baker final season Blu Ray set), to give some "closure" to Adric
