Just had a short discussion about Dune with a colleague, who went to see it recently and was completely floored/amazed by the movie ( he didn't know anything about the story). So the movie seems to hold its own to non-fans of the material even if this tidbit is entirely anecdotal ( it still has quite good reviews).
So let's keep fingers crossed for the sequel confirmation, there's enough positive signs that the movie is a success both financially and critically.

2. Still Suits are made so that you can have full intercourse without taking them off. Flaps and zippers maybe? Paul had to check that his mother had put her still suit on correctly. If I assume the pirated version is pretty shitty quality, would I be incorrect I wonder. I'm going to the cinema to see this - my first trip there for nearly two years. I will probably buy this on 4K eventually even if I find fault with the movie.

I'd recommend CinemaWins instead. As a channel it has a way more positive outlook and actual critical things to say, not just going for the low hanging fruit.
You're overthinking it. Siech quarters all have door seals and internal moisture reclamation more or less the same as stilltents. It's one of the few places they ever take their stillsuits off.
Agreed, if one utilizes a YouTube reviewer at all. I don't tend to, because it's not that informative any more. CinemaWins at least has a positive light that I appreciate in the style of the video.
It is high quality ( as high as a digital rip usually is) but the version i saw was without subtitles on the few occasions they switch to other languages or use sign language. Nothing story breaking but a bit annoying.
However i urge you to see it at the movies - the experience is completely different with a big screen and a professional sound system. I watched the streaming version to see some of my favorite scenes, that's all.

I have to admit, this is an absolutely massive marketing campaign. It's everywhere. Hopefully it pays off.

Negativity makes more money. That's why Facebook would rather show you lots of things you hate than lots of things you like.
Sad but true, but that is the human brain, trending towards the negative. But, it's not my money anymore. Hardly use Facebook and YouTube is pretty much just gaming now for me. Film reviews are now a thing of my past.
Film reviews aren't what they used to be. A lot of these younger writers who have only written for the internet make everything about themselves. You already know in advance how their reviews of certain movies will be based on whether the site leans toward outrage or wokeness. But either way, there's always a lot of snark.
I mean, I like snark just fine. I'm sarcastic by nature, prefer deadpan humor to slapstick, but overall find sarcasm to be my favorite type of humor. But, what will also get under my skin is the, as you note, extremely personal take that these are done with. Like the producers of these films sought out these reviewers and targeted them personally for offense. There is a reason why the term "respect" no longer carries much weight in terms of fictional properties or their audiences. "Respect" has come to mean "you better toe the line perfectly like I want or you are wrong." There is no nuance, no shades of gray, no room for artistic interpretation. So, the term "respect" gets bandied about and looses all meaning. Honestly, I'm at the stage of life were I don't think much of any fictional work "deserving respect" in the adaptation process. It's so watered down because this film making process is a deeply personal one that has nothing to do with the personal feelings of reviewers.
